The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of ascending doses of subcutaneous (SC) pozelimab and SC cemdisiran when administered on the same day or sequentially 28 days apart. The secondary objectives of the study are: - To assess the concentration-time profiles of total pozelimab, total complement component 5 (C5), cemdisiran, and cemdisiran metabolite(s) following single ascending doses of SC pozelimab and SC cemdisiran when administered on the same day or sequentially 28 days apart - To assess the pharmacodynamic (PD) profile of ascending doses of SC pozelimab and SC cemdisiran, as well as when administered on the same day or sequentially 28 days apart - To assess the immunogenicity of pozelimab and cemdisiran
The objective of this study is to investigate the bioavailability of Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in an emulsion product against a comparator product. Thirty-two participants will be randomized into a single-center, double-blind, parallel trial. Participants will be dosed in clinic and blood and urine samples will be taken over a 12-hour period. Blood and urine samples will also be collected for 48 hours post-dose at check-in visits. Questionnaires regarding drug effects and cognitive function will also be completed following each blood sampling. Participants who consumed the comparator product will be asked to return to the clinic following a wash-out period of at least 45 days to consume the emulsion product in-clinic and complete questionnaires at the same specified time points over a 12-hour period.
Implicit motor sequence learning (IMSL) is a form of cognitive function that is known to be directly associated with motor function. This hallmark motor skill enables humans to perform multiple single movements in a specific sequential order and is involved in many of our daily activities (e.g. reaching, dressing, typing). One promising tool that has been shown to improve this type of learning in healthy young individuals, is transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). This non-invasive brain stimulation technique entails the administration of a weak electrical current at the scalp between two electrodes. To date, studies have almost exclusively investigated effects of conventional tDCS. Recently, however, novel High Definition (HD) tDCS devices have been commercialised. Whereas conventional tDCS uses two rather large electrodes, likely including adjacent cortical areas in the stimulation, HD-tDCS uses multiple smaller electrodes, allowing for stimulation of the targeted cortical region with higher resolution/specificity. The aim of the present study is to confirm previous findings suggesting beneficial effects of conventional tDCS, delivered over the primary motor cortex (M1) in healthy young adults. Additionally, the investigators will be the first to investigate potential effects of HD tDCS on IMSL in this population and to make a comparison between these two devices. The investigators will determine immediate effects that may occur concurrently with the application of tDCS but also short-term (five minutes post-tDCS) and long-term (one week post-tDCS) consolidation effects, as previous studies suggest that tDCS exerts its beneficial effects on IMSL in a consolidation phase rather than in an acquisition phase.
Millet is a functional grain that has attracted the attention of scientists for many years due to its significant benefits to human health. Research has shown that millets have a high antioxidant capacity and polyphenol content which can contribute to a reduced risk of some chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and its complications. This study aimed to assess the glycaemic response (GR), insulinaemic response (IR) and gastric emptying (GE) after the consumption of millet-based muffins in pre-diabetic and healthy participants. This was a single-blind, randomized controlled crossover study in which participants consumed one control muffin (wheat) and one test muffin (millet). During each session, participants were required to consume either the test or the control muffin, consuming the alternative on the next visit. Then, 10 finger-prick blood samples were taken for the determination of glucose and insulin over 4 hours. 13Carbon (13C) sodium acetate was added to the muffins (control and test) in order to measure gastric emptying from the breath samples collected.

This study aims at exploring patients' ability to monitor their own memory performance depending on their primary deficit and the type of memory involved in the criterion task. The goal is to evaluate if semantic dementia (SD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) differently affect patients' awareness of their memory abilities.
This study aims to determine the requirements for the sulphur amino acids in adults over the age of 60 years: 1. the total sulphur amino acid requirement as methionine only. Methionine is an essential amino acid. 2. the minimum methionine requirement as methionine in the presence of excess dietary cysteine. It is known that protein and amino acid metabolism may be altered with age and methionine and cysteine, in particular, may be important in the diet of older adults. Up to 7 different levels of methionine intake as methionine only (no dietary cysteine) and up to 7 different levels of methionine intake in the presence of excess dietary cysteine will be tested in each subject in random order. Each level of intake will involve a 3-day maintenance diet, with measures being collected on the third.
This is a prospective, single-centre, non-comparative, non-randomized, open label, clinical investigation of the clinical performance and safety of Fluispotter. The main aim is to validate the clinical performance and safety of the body-worn Fluispotter system used for automated extraction, collection and storage of 20 dried venous dried blood spot samples of 10 µl over the course of 20 hours.
The study will assess the change from baseline in mean daily copper balance in healthy participants with repeat-dose administrations of ALXN1840 over 2 weeks.
