Filter by:The purpose of this study is to examine concurrent validity of 8 computerized tests intended for the assessment of cognitive function in participants with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), relative to 8 corresponding and previously validated examiner‑administered cognitive tests.
This study evaluates the effect of a 'lithium like' drug called ebselen (SP-1005) versus placebo as an 'add on' treatment to help stabilise hypo/manic symptoms in bipolar disorder. Half of the participants will receive ebselen and the other half placebo. The trial, will last a total of four weeks.

This is a human research study looking at the effectiveness of Lanreotide (study medication) in treating small bowel motility disorders. It is similar to a natural hormone somatostatin that is produced in the body in the stomach, duodenum, pancreas and brain. Somatostatin is a growth hormone-inhibiting hormone. Lanreotide is a man made hormone and is a long acting medication that is given once a month. It is marketed with a trade name "Somatuline Depot". It is given deep subcutaneously (deep within the layers of the skin) in the superior external quadrant of the buttock. Injection site will be alternated on subsequent injections.

The purpose of this study is to determine if using a tablet computer, which is a very small, easy-to-carry computer, to practice thinking exercises at home will help improve your attention, memory, and problem solving abilities. All the participants will receive training in the thinking skills for work program. But in order to determine the effect of tablet use for home practice, half of the participants will be given a tablet to practice the thinking exercises at home. All participants will be receiving vocational rehabilitation and have a goal of getting a job.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate potential risk factors for developing postpartum depression or posttraumatic stress disorder during the first year postpartum in patients who have no preexisting history of PTSD or PPD.
This study is aimed to test the efficacy of a positive psychological intervention for promoting positive emotions and optimistic thinking in eating disordered patients. Participants are randomly assigned to receive the positive intervention or the control condition, which consists on thinking about daily activities.
