Proton Beam Radiation Therapy After Treatment for Resected N2 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This clinical trial tests proton beam radiation therapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer who have undergone surgical resection and have lymph nodes involving the middle of the chest. Proton therapy is a type of radiation treatment that kills cancer cells while avoiding surrounding healthy tissue. Proton beam therapy is sometimes used after cancer surgery to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence (coming back). Giving proton beam radiation therapy may work better than conventional radiation treatment after surgery in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Study of the Resvent RXiBreezeâ„¢ PAP System to Treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea

The goal of this clinical trial is to test the automatic positive airway pressure (APAP) function of the RXiBreeze PAP System in adult subjects with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The main questions the study aims to answer are: 1. Is apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) detection using the RXiBreeze PAP System equivalent to apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) detection using PSG? 2. What is the responder rate using the RXiBreeze PAP System? Participants will use the APAP function of the RXiBreeze PAP System while undergoing polysomnography (PSG) for two separate nights in a sleep center. During each visit, participants will also complete two patient reported outcome questionnaires: - Epworth Sleepiness Score (ESS); and - Functional Outcomes of Sleep Questionnaire (FOSQ) short form.

This is a prospective, multicenter, non-randomized single-arm safety and performance study to collect data to evaluate the safety of the Cryosa procedure to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients with moderate to severe OSA. The study will also evaluate the chronic performance of the Cryosa system and collect clinical measures for therapy effectiveness that will be used to demonstrate safety and effectiveness in the next clinical study.

Midwest Birth Outcomes and Indigenous American Pregnancy

Indigenous American pregnancies in the Midwest have disproportionally high rates of adverse outcomes, however little research has been done on how historical trauma and stress may impact these adverse outcomes. This project gathers data from pregnant Indigenous American women on their experiences with historical trauma, stress, and birth outcomes, as well as physiological data of how they respond to stress, in order to better understand the associations between these factors and the biological mechanisms underlying them. Understanding the mechanisms by which both historical and proximal stress "get under the skin" and influence pregnancy health and perinatal outcomes, will afford new targets of intervention to help reduce these IA health disparities.

Non-invasive Brain Stimulation to Improve Unsteady Gait in Older Adults (StimGait)

Walking is a complex and continuous task that entails repetitive motions of the body. Relatively high gait variability sensitively predicts falls and cognitive decline in older adults. Previous work has identified an unique brain network relationship linked to gait variability and its relevant cognitive function (i.e., sustained attention). This project aims to develop a non-invasive brain stimulation montage designed to modulate the shared brain networks dynamics and to demonstrate its effects on resting state functional connectivity, gait and cognitive performance in older adults at risk for falls.
