Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound for Treatment-Resistant Depression

The Investigators are proposing to demonstrate safety and efficacy of LIFUP for treatment resistant major depressive disorder in a ten-patient pilot study. LIFUP is an emerging treatment with the advantage of being able to target subcortical transcranial targets, which may have superior efficacy or a shorter treatment course compared to other available treatments such as transcranial magnetic stimulation. This study will investigate the effect of this stimulation on the left subgenual cingulate cortex, a highly connected node in the depression network that is correlated with clinical symptomatology.

PDE4 Inhibition in Seborrheic Dermatitis and Papulopustular Rosacea

This study is a double-blind, vehicle-controlled clinical trial. The study will take place at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The study will include 33-39 adult subjects with moderate-to-severe-Seborrheic dermatitis (SD) as well as 33-39 adult subjects with moderate-to-severe papulopustular rosacea (PPR). Subjects will be randomized 2:1 to receive study drug or placebo. Enrolled subjects will apply topical PF-07038124 0.02% ointment once daily for 8 weeks. They will return for visits at weeks 4, 8, and 12 following study treatment initiation for repeat clinical assessments, medication reviews, tape-strip, blood and urine sample collections, and monitoring for adverse events.

Behavioral Economic Strategies to Improve PRO Adherence

The main purpose of this research study is to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of patient- and nurse-directed strategies across in-clinic and remote patient reported outcome (PRO) monitoring settings, using a three-arm pragmatic cluster randomized controlled trial. Additionally, the goal is to evaluate moderators of implementation effects on PRO monitoring. Eligible patients will be randomized independently to: (1) usual practice (i.e., encounter-based PRO administration via patient portal or tablet); (2) encounter-based PRO monitoring with patient reminders and nurse alerts; or (3) remote PRO monitoring with patient reminders and nurse alerts. The investigators hypothesize that nudges to patients and alerts to nurses will improve patient-level PRO completion and clinician-level PRO engagement.

One group will be for people who will receive surgery to remove their brain tumor. Mobile Behavioral Parent Training for Childhood ADHD: A Micro-randomized Trial

The goal of the study is to develop and refine a personalized behavioral parent training intervention for caregivers of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The behavioral intervention will teach positive parenting through videos and quizzes that caregivers can access through a smartphone application. The program also gives parents and caregivers in-the-moment feedback their use of parenting strategies. The current study, a micro-randomized trial, aims to see whether the in-the-moment feedback given to parents (a push notification on their smartphone) changes parenting behavior right after the feedback. Micro-randomized means that parents are randomly assigned repeatedly, in this study multiple times per day, to receive or not receive parenting feedback or suggestions on their smartphones. The main questions to answer are: Is parenting feedback provided by a smartphone application acceptable to caregivers? When parents receive the feedback, do they use more positive parenting skills in the next few minutes compared to when they do not receive the feedback? Is the phone application usable and acceptable to parents and caregivers of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder?

Pediatric Physical Activity for Children With Cancer

The goal of this pilot study is to test the feasibility and participant adherence (pediatric patients diagnosed with childhood cancer) to a virtual, 12-week physical activity program. The aims of this project are to: 1. Determine the feasibility of administering the program and patient acceptability. 2. Report program adherence and completion rates. 3. Explore trends on the impact of a virtual PA intervention on psychosocial health and physical fitness. Participants will undergo pre- and post-assessments including measurements of fitness, self-reported fatigue and depression symptoms, social support, and current amount of physical activity. Patients will then be invited to participate in two consecutive, 12-week virtual physical activity interventions with similar-aged peers (2x/week, 60 minutes/session) over 2 rounds.
