The main objective of this study is to determine the accuracy and precision of the iCOquit Smokerlyzer as compared with the gold standard of COHb levels measured in venous plasma samples, as well as assessing its agreement with the Vitalograph BreathCO monitor. Validating the precision and accuracy of the iCOquit Smokerlyzer could establish an additional, less expensive, reliable method for determining smoking status in tobacco research. Additionally, the portability of the device would allow for remote biochemical verification of smoking status, thus enlarging the number of participants that can be included in intervention studies.
This two-part study will be conducted in male and female patients 18 to 65 years of age undergoing bunionectomy. Part I - three-step, single ascending dose study design in which two drug loads (low drug load of funapide and high drug load of funapide) and two volumes (high volume and low volume) of FX301 will be explored against placebo in four cohorts of 12 patients each (9 active:3 placebo) for the management of post-surgical pain in patients undergoing bunionectomy. Part II - expansion cohort to further assess safety, tolerability, systemic exposure, and efficacy of a selected drug load/volume of FX301. An additional 36 patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either FX301 or placebo as a single-injection analgesic nerve block adjacent to the sciatic nerve of the popliteal fossa.
Adult smokers will be tested using behavioral and neuroimaging measures after smoking as usual and after overnight abstinence.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, and potential efficacy of IMB-1018972 in patients with non-obstructive HCM.
Investigating an emotional processing program, that is modified for use with children, is effective for children with a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The purpose of this study to test measures of physical and psychological resilience while using Self-System therapy (SST), to treat depression and lung-cancer-related distress in older adults (65 years and older).
The purpose of this pilot study is to evaluate the impact of Reining in Anxiety for children with anxiety and their caregivers. A total of up to 80 child/caregiver dyads will be enrolled in the study, anticipating that 40 dyads will complete the 10 week intervention. The intervention will be delivered at Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center, which is one of the largest therapeutic riding centers in the US.
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of erenumab on medication-specific treatment satisfaction.
This project is a single-center feasibility study of MyVoice:CF, a patient-facing, web-based decision aid. Aim 1) Assess the acceptability, feasibility, and usability of MyVoice:CF for women with CF and multidisciplinary adult CF providers. Aim 2) Assess the preliminary efficacy of MyVoice:CF related to patient-provider communication, shared decision-making, knowledge, and self-efficacy for women with CF related to reproductive health concerns.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the acceptability and preliminary efficacy of a universal prevention program delivered by psychologists in conjunction with pediatric primary care well-child visits.
