There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This project will evaluate distal intestinal bile salt administration in humans by deliving ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) into the terminal ileum of subjects with a pre-existing ileostomy and assessing several hormone levels following an oral glucose tolerance test compared to a placebo.
This study investigates the use of post-operative on-Q pain catheters for tissue expander based breast reconstruction, versus conventional ultrasound-guided blocks placed pre-operatively.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the testicular safety of filgotinib in adult males with moderately to severely active inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Results of this study may be pooled with the results of a separate study being conducted in participants with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (Protocol GLPG0634-CL-227; NCT03926195) with the same objective. The total planned number of participants in both studies combined will be up to approximately 250 participants.
In the currently proposed phase I/II study, the investigators aim to treat patients with relapsed and/or relapsed refractory Multiple Myeloma who have progressed on carfilzomib-based therapy with an FDA approved c-MET inhibitor, cabozantinib.
To establish performance of individual tests and combinations of tests (serological, molecular and cellular tests) in early Lyme infection diagnosis
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease characterized by involvement of multiple organs with a female to male ratio of 12:1 with the highest incidence reported in women of child bearing age (15-44 years). In general, advances in diagnosis and management have led to significant improvements in outcomes. However, fatigue remains a challenging and prevalent issue for SLE patients. The investigators aim to determine the feasibility of recruiting and conducting acupressure in fatigued persons with lupus; to explore the effect of two distinct acupressure formulas (relaxing and stimulating) plus usual care versus sham acupressure plus usual care and usual care alone on severity and impact of chronic fatigue (as measured by the Brief Fatigue Inventory) as well as quality of life, sleep and pain.
This research is being done to evaluate the feasibility of a prudent versus Western diet feeding study in women with asthma in Baltimore City. The results of this research will provide data to appropriately design a definitive study looking at the differential effects of these two diets on asthma health.
This study evaluates the role of oral vancomycin in the prevention of recurrent Clostridium difficile for hospitalized patients receiving systemic antibiotic therapy. Half of participants will receive oral vancomycin daily, while the other half will receive a placebo.
A study to determine the efficacy of 8 mg/day (4 mg/breast) of BHR-700 gel compared to placebo for reducing breast tissue density in women identified as having dense breast tissue upon analysis of screening mammography. The Primary Study Endpoint being the percent reduction of mammographic breast tissue density on a follow-up mammogram compared to the baseline mammogram after 52 weeks of treatment.
This purpose of this retrospective, single-arm, non-randomized, multi-center study is to collect real-world data on the effectiveness of using the TRAP technique in acute ischemic stroke patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy.
