NCT ID: NCT05241353 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

Project THRIVE: Evaluating Different Approaches to Dietary Self-Monitoring for Weight Loss

Start date: April 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot trial will compare two approaches to dietary self-monitoring for weight loss in the context of a low-intensity, remotely-delivered lifestyle modification program. Participants (N=40) will be randomized to perform detailed self-monitoring of all food and drink consumed each day or a reduced frequency, partial prescription involving recording only a subset of daily intake. The investigators will compare differences in weight loss as well as on relevant mechanistic, behavioral outcomes between groups at 12 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05241314 Completed - War-Related Trauma Clinical Trials

FMBI With War-affected Families

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study has two central research questions: 1) Is implementing a family mindfulness-based intervention with war-affected immigrant families through community based participatory research methods feasible?; and 2) Does the intervention demonstrate preliminary improvements in the social and behavioral health of war-affected caregivers and youth by addressing patterns of behavior that potentiate intergenerational trauma? The objective in the proposed study is to use Community Based Participatory Research strategies to test the feasibility and acceptability of a mindfulness-based intervention for Karen refugee families living post-resettlement in the United States. A key focus in this phase of the pilot will be intervention adaptation and establishing fidelity monitoring and quality improvement procedures through which the PI and community health worker interventionists are trained and evaluated in the delivery of the intervention.

NCT ID: NCT05241288 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Digihaler in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center 3-month study to determine the variation in ProAir Digihaler metrics [peak inspiratory flow (PIF), inhalation volume, number of inhalation events] amongst COPD patients in the ambulatory setting.

NCT ID: NCT05241171 Completed - Physical Activity Clinical Trials

The "Step4Life" Randomized Control Trial in Hemodialysis

Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Persons with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) have very low physical activity, and among ESKD patients, the level of inactivity is strongly associated with morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of a 12-week intervention coupling use of wearable pedometers (FitBit ®) and feedback coaching to increase physical activity in hemodialysis patients.

NCT ID: NCT05240794 Completed - Clinical trials for Social Anxiety Disorder

Effects of Therapeutic Mobile Game on Anxiety

Start date: June 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Participants with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) will use a digital therapeutic for 30 days, and will complete assessments measuring a broad range of anxiety and mood-related symptoms, with a focus on SAD symptoms, and metrics of functional impairment during this time. After the treatment period, participants will be followed at 6 month and 12 month after the completion of the study.

NCT ID: NCT05240638 Completed - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Lymph Drainage in Heart Failure

Start date: October 24, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to test the safety and efficacy of lymph fluid drainage on heart congestion and shortness of breath symptoms among patients participants with heart failure.

NCT ID: NCT05240339 Completed - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

Characterization and Progression of Minor Phenomena in Parkinson's Disease (PD)

Start date: April 25, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Parkinson's disease psychosis encompasses a range of symptoms, including minor phenomena, frank hallucinations, and delusions. Minor phenomena include passage hallucinations (fleeting sense of a person, animal or object passing in the periphery), presence hallucinations (feeling of nearby presence), and illusions (misrepresentation of external stimuli). Some forms of PD psychosis may be progressive. The primary objective of this study is to: 1) To determine the cumulative probability of developing hallucinations or delusions over time in individuals with PD minor phenomena followed for 36 months.

NCT ID: NCT05240313 Completed - Alcohol Drinking Clinical Trials

Preventing Alcohol and Other Drug Use and Violence Among Latino Youth

kiR-vene
Start date: January 31, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

There are currently no interventions aimed at preventing both alcohol and other drug (AOD) use and interpersonal violence that have been adapted for Latino adolescents. This study hypothesizes that a cultural adaptation of a validated AOD use prevention program (Keepin' it REAL) that also integrates violence prevention content will both amplify the AOD use effects of that intervention for Latino adolescents and lead to reductions in youth violence. The purpose of this study is to conduct a pilot-test randomized controlled trial (RCT) of a youth AOD use prevention intervention that has been adapted to integrate interpersonal violence content and has been culturally adapted for a specific Latino population (Venezuelan migrant youth). The goals of the pilot test are to determine feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effects of the intervention for future testing.

NCT ID: NCT05239884 Completed - Smoking Clinical Trials

CSD201202: A Study to Assess Nicotine Uptake From Electronic Nicotine Delivery System P12

Start date: March 14, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, randomized, 8-way crossover study designed to evaluate plasma nicotine pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters following an ad libitum use of Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS) investigational products (IPs) in a confinement setting by generally healthy combustible cigarette (CC) smokers and dual users of CC and ENDS.

NCT ID: NCT05239767 Completed - Acute Pain Clinical Trials

A Randomized Trial of NSAID Dosing Strategies

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study will compare the efficacy of two different non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) ketorolac and ibuprofen for people with acute moderate or severe musculoskeletal pain. The investigators will also determine whether taking acetaminophen prior to the NSAID impacts efficacy
