NCT ID: NCT05404789 Completed - Diabetes Mellitus Clinical Trials

Tolerance of Centrifuge-induced Acceleration in Subjects With Diabetes Mellitus and Cardiac Arrhythmia

Start date: September 27, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study will involve exposing individuals with a known past medical history of diabetes mellitus and/or cardiac arrhythmias to centrifuge-induced acceleration force (G-force) in the NASTAR AFTS-400 simulator to evaluate their response to such forces. Subjects without a history of these conditions will also undergo centrifuge-induced G-forces as controls. This study will contribute to the knowledge of how individuals with such medical conditions experience G-forces that may be experienced during commercial spaceflights.

NCT ID: NCT05404711 Completed - Insulin Resistance Clinical Trials

Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) for Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) Risk Evaluation

Start date: October 11, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research study is to determine whether continuous glucose monitors (CGM) are a safe, effective, and acceptable way to evaluate type 2 diabetes risk in youth as compared to the standard 2-hour oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). This study will involve wearing a CGM, wearing a physical activity tracker, responding to surveys, and completing at-home glucose and mixed food challenge while wearing the CGM. Subjects will also be asked to complete an interview by phone or videoconference after wearing the CGM.

NCT ID: NCT05404542 Completed - Renal Impairment Clinical Trials

To Evaluate Pharmacokinetics (PK) and Safety of Tavapadon in Participants With Severe Renal Impairment Compared to Participants With Normal Renal Function

Start date: May 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose is to assess the effect of renal impairment on the PK of tavapadon following administration of a single oral dose in participants with severe renal impairment relative to age, body weight, and sex-matched participants with normal renal function.

NCT ID: NCT05404529 Completed - Hepatic Impairment Clinical Trials

To Evaluate the Pharmacokinetics (PK) and Safety of Tavapadon in Participants With Mild and Moderate Hepatic Impairment Compared to Participants With Normal Hepatic Function

Start date: April 29, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of the study is to assess the effect of hepatic impairment on the PK of tavapadon following administration of a single oral dose in participants with mild and moderate hepatic impairment relative to age, body weight, and sex-matched participants with normal hepatic function.

NCT ID: NCT05402111 Completed - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

A Clinical Study That Will Assess How Food Moves Through the Stomach and Effects Blood Glucose Levels in Subjects With Schizophrenia Taking SEP-363856 or and Prior Antipsychotic (PA) Standard

Start date: June 13, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A clinical study to determine whether an investigational medication (SEP363856) changes how long it takes for food to move through the stomach into the small intestine in patients with schizophrenia. This study is accepting both male and female subjects. It will be conducted in approximately 6 study sites in the United States. The duration of participation will be approximtely 10 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05401903 Completed - Clinical trials for Chiropractic Maintenance Care and Heart Rate Variability

Relationship Between Chiropractic Care and Autonomic Nervous System Regulation

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective for this study is to explore the utility of biometric devices to measure changes in heart rate variability (HRV) during chiropractic maintenance care. The study will use WHOOP wearable technology to measure HRV. Chiropractic maintenance care refers to regular visits to manage recurrent musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction [1]. Beyond managing pain and dysfunction, regular chiropractic visits may also promote improvements in homeostatic regulation of internal physiological conditions, but the evidence-based is lacking for these effects [2]. The hypothesis of this study is that chiropractic maintenance care may lead to an increase in HRV as compared to a control group that do not receive chiropractic care. 1.
