There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The long-time goal is to understand what decision-making process and patient characteristics factor into a patient deciding to stay with their initial physician versus seeking treatment with a second opinion.
Retrospective-prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, unblinded, post-market study to evaluate the long-term performance and safety of AtriClip® FLEX-V LAA and PRO•V LAA Exclusion devices for exclusion of the left atrial appendage of the heart during concomitant cardiac procedures.
This is a prospective longitudinal study of patients with acute mTBI and comparison with chronic mTBI patients and a cohort without history of TBI or none within 5 years of enrollment. The patients will be recruited from the eligible population at military medical centers in the National Capital Region.
This study in adolescent participants with NF1 who have inoperable PN is designed to evaluate the effect of a low fat meal on steady state selumetinib exposure; to assess the effect on GI tolerability when selumetinib is dosed under fed and fasted conditions; and potentially, to confirm an appropriate dosing recommendation of selumetinib with a low fat meal that maintains efficacy with acceptable safety. These results may support labelling statements with regard to posology and food.
The objective of the proposed work is to determine whether administration for 12 months of romosozumab followed by 12 months of denosumab will maintain bone mass at the knee in subjects with subacute SCI compared to 24 months of denosumab administration alone.
A multi-center, prospective & retrospective, observational single-arm study of the clinical outcomes up to one year collected from electronic health records of patients which have undergone standard of care implantation of Impella 5.5, regardless of clinical situation or indication. All patients will be enrolled via an IRB-approved Waiver of Informed Consent and HIPAA Authorization. All patients who were supported retrospectively (prior to site IRB approval) with Impella 5.5 at the investigative site will be entered into the SURPASS registry and specified as the retrospective cohort.
The purpose of this study is to determine if an additional 6 days of oral antibiotics decreases the risk of penile prosthesis infection after implantation.
The purpose of this study is to find out whether combining a shorter than standard course of ADT with standard prostate brachytherapy and hypofractionated external beam radiation therapy is a safe and effective way to prevent high-risk prostate cancer from coming back and/or spreading to other parts of the body.
Participants will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to receive either two injections of CMV-MVA Triplex® or placebo administered at study Entry/Day 0 and week 4. Vaccine Group: 60 participants will receive CMV-MVA Triplex® containing 5 x 10^8 plaque-forming unit (pfu) ±0.5 x 10^8 pfu of MVA Vaccine Encoding CMV Antigens by intramuscular (IM) deltoid injections. Placebo Group: 30 participants will receive a volume of placebo (7.5% Lactose in phosphate-buffered saline [PBS]) that matches the volume of the active vaccine injection by IM deltoid injections.
A comparison of outcomes between use of oral tranexamic acid as compared to oral placebo in the first days after total knee replacement will be made to determine impact on clinical indications and patient reported outcomes.
