Effects of 'Pinkwashed' Alcohol Ads in an Online RCT

The primary objective of this study is to examine how exposure to "pinkwashed" alcohol advertisements (i.e., ads that associate the company with breast cancer awareness or charities) affects consumers' perceptions that alcohol increases the risk of breast cancer. The investigators will randomize participants to view 3 'pinkwashed' social media advertisements for alcohol or 3 control advertisements for alcohol (i.e., 'de-pinked' standard alcohol advertisements that match the intervention advertisements on overall design but do not mention breast cancer). Each participant will view the 3 advertisements for their arm (presented in random order) and respond to survey questions programmed in Qualtrics.

This study is a randomized trial of 100 older adults with mobility disability, who performed a similar brief daily, resistance training program. The investigators set out to answer the following question "Will a digital, brief daily exercise program be feasible, acceptable, and effective among older adults with walking limitations?" To answer that question, participants were assigned to an intervention or delayed-treatment control group. Intervention participants were assigned to complete two 30-second lower body exercises and two 30-second upper body exercises. Fitness tests were completed remotely three times during the 12-weeks (i.e., at baseline, week 6, week 12).

This study will evaluate evidence-based treatments for adults with mild Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). The aim of the study is to help identify efficacious communication and quality of life interventions for those with PPA and their care-partners. Participants with a diagnosis of PPA and their actively-engaged care partners will be involved in the study for 12 months. Each participant will receive a iPad equipped with the necessary applications and features for the study. Participants will complete evaluations, speech therapy sessions with a speech and language therapist, and sessions with a licensed social worker or related clinician. They will have access to Communication Bridge, a personalized web application to practice home exercises that reinforce treatment strategies. There are no costs to participate in this study.
