There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The novel multi-professional service delivery model "Primary Care Behavioural Health" (PCBH) has been suggested as an effective way to integrate behavioural health services into routine primary care to overcome the growing problems with psychosocial and mental health problems in primary care. In this multicenter mixed-methods pragmatic clinical trial, the implementation of PCBH in routine primary health care in a region in Sweden is investigated.
The aim of this randomised controlled trial is to investigate the effectiveness of periodic CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) to support a person-centered approach versus self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in adults with type 2 diabetes on glucose control and patient reported outcomes.
Evaluation of postoperative prone position after major abdominal surgery. A randomized clinical trial of 100+100 patients and further add a voice/speech/singing protocol.
This is a Phase III, randomized, open-label, 3-arm, multicenter, international study assessing the efficacy and safety of Dato-DXd with or without durvalumab compared with ICT in participants with stage I to III TNBC with residual invasive disease in the breast and/or axillary lymph nodes at surgical resection following neoadjuvant systemic therapy.
Patients with severe aortic stenosis accepted for transcatheter intervention or open surgery are included before the intervention, and then followed up with clinical visits during the first year after intervention. Imaging with echocardiography and computed tomography (CT) are performed together with additional imaging with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Positron emissions tomography (PET)-CT in a subgroup of the study population. Blood samples, physical performance and questionnaires with focus on frailty and heart failure are also collected at each visit. A follow up with information of the outcomes after 2-5 years will be performed through national registries.
This is a prospective, randomised, open-label, within-patient controlled, non-inferiority clinical investigation of the nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) wound dressing FibDex® for treatment of superficial dermal burns in paediatric and adult patients. The clinical performance and safety of FibDex® will be compared to Epicitehydro (QRSKIN GmbH, Würzburg, Germany) and Epiprotect® (S2Medical AB, Linköping, Sweden). Epicitehydro is considered to be the primary comparator. The investigation will be conducted at 2 clinical research sites in Sweden.
Background There are no prospective trials comparing the two main reconstructive options after colectomy for Ulcerative colitis, ileal pouch anal anastomosis and ileorectal anastomosis. An attempt on a randomized controlled trial has been made but after receiving standardized information patients insisted on choosing operation themselves. Methods Adult Ulcerative colitis patients subjected to colectomy eligible for both ileal pouch anastomosis and ileorectal anastomosis are asked to participate and after receiving standardized information the get to choose reconstructive method. Patients not declining reconstruction or not considered eligible for both methods will be followed as controls. The CRUISE study is a prospective, non-randomized, multi-center, controlled trial on satisfaction, QoL, function, and complications between ileal pouch anal anastomosis and ileorectal anastomosis. Discussion Reconstruction after colectomy is a morbidity-associated as well as a resource-intensive activity with the sole purpose of enhancing function, Quality of Life and patient satisfaction. The aim of this study is to provide the best possible information on the risks and benefits of each reconstructive treatment.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the study drug exposure level of the nivolumab + relatlimab FDC subcutaneous (SC) formulation is not worse than nivolumab + relatlimab FDC intravenous (IV) administration in participants with previously untreated metastatic or unresectable melanoma.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of tozorakimab, as an add-on to SoC in patients with viral lung infection requiring supplemental oxygen, on the prevention of death or progression to IMV/ECMO.
Immunological factors are assumed to be determinants for some psychiatric disorders, thus anti-inflammatory drugs may be helpful. However, studies on such treatments are scarce. An inflammatory modulating drug rituximab, cluster of differentiation antigen 20 antibodies (anti-CD20 antibodies), is a standard treatment for e.g. multiple sclerosis. The investigators aim to test rituximab in a randomised placebo-controlled double-blinded, add-on treatment trial in 120 participants (18-55 years) with schizophrenia spectrum disorder. Sampling from blood for analyses of inflammatory mediators are investigated at gene and protein levels and resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rsfMRI) and lumbar puncture are optional. Biomarkers will be investigated in relation to treatment response. Family member(s) to the patient and the patient (separate) will be asked to participate in a qualitative interview by an independent researcher after 3 months.
