There are about 13332 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Netherlands. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Primary Objective: - To assess the long term safety of Sarilumab (SAR153191/REGN88) in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) Secondary Objective: - To assess the long term efficacy of Sarilumab (SAR153191/REGN88) in patients with AS
RATIONALE: Everolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well everolimus works in treating patients with progressive or recurrent, unresectable, or metastatic thyroid cancer.
This is a multinational, multi center extension study. This study will provide data on the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of imatinib in the treatment of severe pulmonary arterial hypertension.
The primary objective is to evaluate the S-ICD system's ability to identify and terminate induced ventricular fibrillation in patients during the implant procedure. The safety and performance of the S-ICD system will also be assessed throughout the patient follow-up period.
Primary objective: To demonstrate the superiority of insulin glargine over liraglutide in terms of percentage of patients reaching a Glycosylated Haemoglobin (HbA1c) < 7% at the end of the comparative period (24 weeks) in Type 2 diabetic patients failing lifestyle management and oral agents Secondary objectives of the comparative period (24 weeks): >To assess the effect of insulin glargine in comparison with liraglutide on: - HbA1c level - Percentage of patients whose HbA1c has decreased but remains >= 7% at the end of the comparative period - Percentage of patients whose HbA1c has increased at the end of the comparative period - Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) - 7-point Plasma Glucose (PG) profiles - Hypoglycemia occurrence - Body weight - Adverse events Objectives of the extension period (24 weeks): >To assess the effect of insulin glargine in patients not adequately controlled with liraglutide on: - HbA1c level - FPG - 7-point PG profiles - Hypoglycemia occurrence - Body weight - Adverse events
The main purpose of this cluster randomized controlled trial is to evaluate the difference in effectiveness between a combined implementation strategy and an educational strategy on the implementation of a community occupational therapy program for clients with dementia and their primary caregivers.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy, safety and efficiency of CARTO® 3 system guided THERMOCOOL® catheter ablation and fluoroscopy guided Pulmonary Vein Ablation Catheter® (PVAC®) guided ablation for the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether an early Calcineurin Inhibitor (CNI) to everolimus conversion at 10-14 weeks post transplantation improves renal allograft function without compromising efficacy compared to standard CNI treatment in de novo renal allograft recipients. In addition, the study is designed to evaluate the impact of a CNI-free regimen on evolution of cardiovascular parameters in de novo renal allograft recipients
A major complication in studies to identify the nature of bladder sensations is language. It is difficult, if not near impossible, for the lay person, with no knowledge of physiology, anatomy or pathology, to put into simple terms a description of basic visceral sensations. Therefore, before the investigators can speculate about the detailed mechanisms generating sensation the investigators must overcome this language and communication difficulty. This will be addressed in the present study. There are important reasons why the investigators must identify the mechanisms generating the different sensations as the bladder fills. One of them is that these are basic physiological mechanisms which need to be better understood.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether care as usual or intervention (consisting of sertraline versus placebo), are effective in the treatment of panic disorder and/or depression driven noncardiac chest pain.
