NCT ID: NCT03578601 Completed - Clinical trials for Intubation;Difficult

Predictive Parameters for Difficult Tracheal Intubation Identification in Thyroid Surgery

Start date: September 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Intubation manoeuvres in patients undergoing thyroid surgery might be challenging for anesthesiologist. Thyroid gland enlargement (goiter) or tissue fibrosis (neoplasms) could alter the physiologic anatomy of upper airways and trachea, resulting in compression or dislocation. We want to evaluate the incidence and identify predictive parameters of difficult intubation in patients undergoing thyroid surgery.

DIAMANTE
Start date: June 13, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of Darunavir/ Cobicistat/ Emtricitabine/ Tenofovir Alafenamide (D/C/F/TAF), measured as virological response at Week 48 as per Food and Drug Administration (FDA) snapshot algorithm through collection of daily practice data in the Italian setting.

NCT ID: NCT03577249 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Biological Effects of Citrate-buffered Solutions on Dialysis Efficiency and Systemic Inflammation

Start date: October 30, 2014
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In this study 45 patients undergoing weekly dialysis for chronic end stage renal disease will be enrolled. The patients will be treated with a standard dialysis solution, containing acetate buffer, for 3 months; subsequently the acetate will be substituted with citrate anion for the 3 following months and then, the last 3 months, the standard acetate-solution will be restarted. The aim of the study is to assess if acetate-to-citrate switch in the dialysis solution influences dialysis efficiency and patient inflammatory state.

NCT ID: NCT03575416 Recruiting - Cancer Clinical Trials

Cancer Anesthesia and Frailty

Start date: July 3, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Subjects undergoing cancer related surgery at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori - Milano will be consecutively recruited. Data regarding presence of co-morbidities, frailty, cancer staging, and inflammatory status (CRP protein measurement) will be collected preoperatively. Intra-operative data collection will comprehend type and duration of surgery, kind of anesthesia, complications. In-hospital mortality will be considered as the primary endpoint, while secondary outcome measures will be duration of hospital stay and admission to intensive care.

NCT ID: NCT03575351 Completed - Clinical trials for Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin

A Study to Compare the Efficacy and Safety of JCAR017 to Standard of Care in Adult Subjects With High-risk, Transplant-eligible Relapsed or Refractory Aggressive B-cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas

TRANSFORM
Start date: October 23, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study will be conducted in compliance with the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use/Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulatory requirements. This is a randomized, open-label, parallel-group, multi-center trial in adult subjects with Relapsed or refractory (R/R) aggressive Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) to compare safety and efficacy between the standard of care (SOC) strategy versus JCAR017 (also known as lisocabtagene maraleucel or liso-cel). Subjects will be randomized to either receive SOC (Arm A) or to receive JCAR017 (Arm B). All subjects randomized to Arm A will receive Standard of care (SOC) salvage therapy (R-DHAP, RICE or R-GDP) as per physician's choice before proceeding to High dose chemotherapy (HDCT) and Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Subjects from Arm A may be allowed to cross over and receive JCAR017 upon confirmation of an EFS event. Subjects randomized to Arm B will receive Lymphodepleting (LD) chemotherapy followed by JCAR017 infusion.

NCT ID: NCT03574597 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

Semaglutide Effects on Heart Disease and Stroke in Patients With Overweight or Obesity

SELECT
Start date: October 24, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The researchers are doing the study to see if semaglutide may reduce the risk of having cardiovascular events in patients with overweight or obesity and with prior cardiovascular disease. The participant will either get semaglutide (active medicine) or placebo ("dummy" medicine). Which treatment the participants get is decided by chance. The participant's chance of getting semaglutide or placebo is the same. The participant will get the study medicine in a pen. The participants will need to use the pen to inject the study medicine in a skinfold once a week. The study will last for about 2.5 to 5 years. Participants will have up to 25 clinic visits with the study doctor.

NCT ID: NCT03573388 Completed - Coronary Disease Clinical Trials

OCT Measures Predicting FFR

OMEF
Start date: October 16, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Background: the decision-making process of patients with angiographically-intermediate coronary lesions (ICL) is clinically challenging and may benefit from adjunctive invasive techniques. Fractional-flow-reserve (FFR) represents the gold standard to evaluate ICL but optical-coherence-tomography (OCT) is a novel, promising, high resolution coronary imaging technique. Objectives: 1. Investigate the relation between OCT and FFR parameters in ICL and understand if OCT measures may predict FFR. 2. Understand if OCT parameters may predict clinical outcome of patients with ICL not underwent revascularization on the bases of negative FFR. Study design: multicentre, international, individual patient's level data pooled analysis.
