NCT ID: NCT00664144 Terminated - Hyperuricemia Clinical Trials

Rasburicase for the Treatment/Prevention of Hyperuricemia in Adult Patients With Relapsing Aggressive Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma

GRAAL2
Start date: July 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective was to evaluate the efficacy of rasburicase in terms of prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia related to Tumor Lysis Syndrome (TLS) in 2 populations of adult patients, previously treated or not with urate oxidase, with relapsing aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) and at risk of TLS, presenting with hyperuricemia and/or bulky disease at diagnostic of relapse. The secondary objectives were to : - evaluate the efficacy of rasburicase in terms of renal protection, - evaluate the safety of rasburicase in the two cohorts of patients, - correlate efficacy and safety results with antibodies generation/level.

NCT ID: NCT00662740 Terminated - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Tiotropium/Salmeterol Inhalation Powder (Spiriva Handihaler and Salmeterol Polyethylene (PE) Capsule) in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Start date: April 15, 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objectives of this study are to assess bronchodilator efficacy as determined by forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), the effect on dyspnoea as determined by the Baseline Dyspnoea Index/Transition Dyspnoea Index (BDI/TDI), the effect on health status as determined by the St George Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) and the effect on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations.

NCT ID: NCT00662597 Terminated - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

ASA404 or Placebo in Combination With Paclitaxel and Carboplatin as First-Line Treatment for Stage IIIb/IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

ATRACT-1
Start date: April 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if adding ASA404 to standard chemotherapy makes the cancer treatment more effective in patients with advanced lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00659867 Terminated - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

Endomicroscopy in Ulcerative Colitis

Start date: December 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a confirmatory, multicentric, prospective, randomized, controlled, single-blind study in subjects with long standing ulcerative colitis in clinical remission with indication for surveillance colonoscopy. The patients are examined with the PENTAX EC-3870CIFK and EC-3870CILK confocal colonoscopes either by chromoscopy-guided endomicroscopy with targeted biopsies or by standard endoscopy with random and targeted biopsies. The aim is to investigate whether chromoscopy-guided endomicroscopy has a higher sensitivity than standard endoscopy with respect to detection of intraepithelial neoplasia (IN) and to compare the proportion of patients with at least 1 IN detected by chromoscopy-guided endomicroscopy versus standard endoscopy.

NCT ID: NCT00658008 Terminated - Clinical trials for Generalized Anxiety Disorder

A 10-week Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of PD 0332334 in Patients With Generalized Anxiety Disorder (1)

Start date: April 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a 10-week trial that evaluates the efficacy and safety of PD 0332334 in subjects, ages from 18 to 65, with generalized anxiety disorder.

NCT ID: NCT00642941 Terminated - Sarcoma Clinical Trials

A Study of R1507 in Participants With Recurrent or Refractory Sarcoma

Start date: December 18, 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study was primarily designed to determine objective response, progression-free survival (PFS), and the safety and tolerability of R1507 in participants with recurrent or refractory Ewing's sarcoma, osteosarcoma, synovial sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and other sarcomas including alveolar soft part sarcoma, desmoplastic small round cell tumor, extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma, clear cell sarcoma, and myxoid liposarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT00634088 Terminated - Clinical trials for Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer

Phase I Study of Ixabepilone Plus Lapatinib With or Without Capecitabine in the Treatment of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-Positive Breast Cancer

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and preliminary effectiveness of ixabepilone plus lapatinib with and without capecitabine in the treatment of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive or metastatic breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00626548 Terminated - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

A Phase III Trial of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) (Endothelin A Antagonist) in Non-metastatic Hormone Resistant Prostate Cancer

ENTHUSE M0
Start date: January 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Enthuse M0 is a large phase III clinical trial studying the efficacy of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) in hormone resistant prostate cancer (HRPC). This clinical trial will test if the Endothelin A Receptor Antagonist ZD4054 (Zibotentan) can improve progression-free survival and overall survival against a background of existing prostate cancer treatments. ZD4054 (Zibotentan) is a new type of agent, which is thought to slow tumour growth and spread by blocking Endothelin receptor activity. This trial will look at the effects of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) in hormone resistant prostate cancer (HRPC) patients who have had rising PSA after surgical or medical castration but have no evidence of metastases. All patients participating in this clinical trial will receive existing prostate cancer treatments in addition to trial therapy. Half the patients will receive ZD4054 (Zibotentan) , and half the patients will receive placebo in addition to standard prostate cancer therapy. By participating in this trial there is a 50% chance that patients will receive an agent that may slow the progression of the tumour. No patients will be deprived of standard prostate cancer therapy.
