GLOW2
Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study was designed to investigate the 1 year efficacy and safety of the 50 µg once daily (od) dose of glycopyrronium bromide (NVA237) in patients with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

NCT ID: NCT00928213 Not yet recruiting - Preeclampsia Clinical Trials

PP13 and Doppler Study to Predict Preeclampsia

Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Assessment of biochemical and sonographic marker to predict the risk for developing preeclampsia Among biochemical markers are serum level of Placental Protein 13 (PP13) and Placenta Growth factor (PIGF). For sonographic marker Doppler pulsatility Index of the blood flow through the uterine maternal arteries is assessed. PP13 is produced by the placenta and released to the maternal blood circulation. It has been shown to be an effective serum marker for early onset preeclampsia (Nicolaides KH et al., 2005). The purpose of this study is to combined the assessment of the biochemical markers with Doppler in the first and the second trimester to provide a comprehensive evaluation of various methods for sequential and combined analysis to assess the risk for developing preeclampsia.

NCT ID: NCT00927212 Terminated - Atopic Dermatitis Clinical Trials

Topical Application of AS101 for the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Atopic Dermatitis is a chronic non contagious disease that causes itchy, inflamed skin. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of topical AS101 ointment for the treatment of Atopic dermatitis.

NCT ID: NCT00927173 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

Evaluation of the Brainsway Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) H-Coil in the Treatment of Major Depression Disorder

Start date: September 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of deep brain rTMS, (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), a new experimental procedure using the H-Coil, in subjects with Major Depressive Disorder that have been previously unsuccessfully treated with antidepressant medications.

NCT ID: NCT00926354 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chemotherapy Induced Thrombocytopenia

Application of AS101 for the Treatment of Thrombocytopenia in Solid Tumor Patients

Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Chemotherapy Induced Thrombocytopenia is a common side-effect of bone marrow suppression as a result of a chemotherapy treatment. AS101 is a tellurium based small compound with immunomodulating characteristics which attributed to the direct inhibition of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. AS101 was previously shown to induce a significant reduction in thrombocytopenia that accompany cancer therapy with no major toxicity . This phase II randomized open study will evaluate the efficacy of AS101 for the treatment of chemotherapy induced thrombocytopenia in patients with various solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00926094 Completed - Frozen Shoulder Clinical Trials

Prevalence of Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT) in Patients With Frozen Shoulder

Start date: April 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Idiopathic Adhesive Capsulitis, Frozen Shoulder is a condition in which there is a limitation and significant pain at the shoulder and it is increases with shoulder movements. The causes are not clear. The prevalence of this condition is four times higher in diabetic patient compare to the general population. The relation between frozen shoulder and impaired glucose tolerance remain unclear. Our hypothesis is that patients with no diabetes and that suffer from frozen shoulder have a higher prevalence of impaired glucose tolerance than the general population age matched.

NCT ID: NCT00925977 Terminated - Diabetes Type 1 Clinical Trials

Treatment Satisfaction of Insulin Glargine Plus Insulin Apidra Compared With NPH Insulin Plus Insulin Apidra in Recently Diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes Children and Adolescents

Start date: July 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A randomized, crossover, open study in order to compare treatment satisfaction with insulin Glargine plus insulin Apidra Vs NPH insulin plus insulin Apidra in newly diagnosed children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes. The study will include two consecutive periods: 2 weeks run in period and 24 weeks intervention period, divided into two separate treatment periods of 12 weeks. According to randomization, each patient will be treated consecutively with both treatment arms: 12 weeks with insulin Glargine and than 12 weeks with NPH insulin or 12 weeks with insulin NPH ad than 12 weeks with insulin Glargine. Patients will complete DTSQ (Diabetes Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire) at months 0, 12 and 24 weeks, before and at the end of each study arm.

NCT ID: NCT00925587 Completed - Anemia Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Monthly Darbepoetin Alfa Dosing for Correction of Anemia in Non-dialysis Chronic Kidney Disease

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether once monthly (QM) dosing of darbepoetin alfa is non-inferior to that of once every 2 week (Q2W) dosing of darbepoetin alfa for the correction of anemia in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease who are not receiving dialysis.

NCT ID: NCT00925548 Terminated - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

NCT ID: NCT00922974 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Image-Guided Radiosurgery or Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Localized Spine Metastasis

Start date: November 2009
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II/III trial is studying how well image-guided radiosurgery or stereotactic body radiation therapy works and compares it to external-beam radiation therapy in treating patients with localized spine metastasis.
