There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this pilot study is to examine the initial efficacy of a multi-dimensional coaching intervention ("Parentship") for parents of adolescents with High Functioning Autism (HFASD). The "Parentship" protocol is a short-term intervention program in occupational therapy that aims to promote parental resilience and enhance adolescents' participation in daily life.
Migraine is a common neurologic with attacks of headache and associated symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, phono and photophobia. Migraine can lead to substantial functional impairment. Recent evidence suggests that electro stimulation is effective in providing relief for chronic headaches including migraine. It is tolerable by patients and associated with no adverse effects. The device utilizes electro stimulation to achieve conditioned pain modulation (CPM). CPM an stimulate endogenous analgesic mechanism. The modulatory effect is over the whole body, and can be induced anywhere. This is a prospective, randomized, double-blind, sham controlled multi-center trial. Ratio between treatment and control groups will be 1:1, stratified by center and use of preventive medications. The study objectives is to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the Nerivio Migra electro stimulation device for the reduction of migraine headache during an attack of migraine with or without aura. The study is intended for subject with 2-8 migraine episodes per month. patients will receive the device, either an active or a placebo type, and will be asked to use the device at home or in any location that they will be when the migraine starts. The study hypothesis is that electro stimulation delivered transcutaneously to the peripheral nervous system at onset of a migraine attack significantly reduce headache pain demonstrated by a significant difference between proportions of responders to the active treatment stimulation in comparison to proportion of responders that will use a placebo device.
Diabetes mellitus (or diabetes) is a chronic, metabolic disease characterized by elevated levels of blood glucose. Patients with diabetes need to monitor their blood glucose level several times a day to control their medical state. Modern biosensors have become a promising solution for non-invasive blood glucose measurements. This study aims to validate the efficacy and the accuracy of Glucometry Monitor (NIGM) developed by Spectrophon LTD incorporated in smart watches. Method Participants will use Spectrophon biosensors to non-invasively estimate the level of glucose in blood. Blood will also be collected and the glucose level will be checked with commercially available blood glucose analyzers . All sets of data will be compared to estimate the accuracy of measurements of Spectrophon NIGM
Arab women present increased risk for diabetes, with a 70% greater risk for adult-onset diabetes and a significantly younger age at onset compared with Jewish Israelis. In fact, the rate of diabetes for Arab women in Jerusalem is 4 times higher compared with their Jewish counterparts. Group lifestyle interventions such as the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) have documented effectiveness in preventing diabetes; however, many fail to demonstrate outcome maintenance. We predict that integrating leadership skills training into the gold standard DPP would improve the long-term outcome maintenance. Stage 1: A pre-post study design will be utilized, where all community participants will be exposed to intervention components. The sample was selected from pre-existing groups in the local community center, based on their leadership potential. phase 2: The second stage of the trial will not include the leadership component, but instead it will incorporate resiliency training and it aims to evaluate the effect of increased resiliency on the main outcomes including improvement in healthy behaviors such as adherence to Mediterranean diet and as well as a reduction in sedentary lifestyle and increased engagement in physical activity. In addition, resiliency training is likely to improve the maintenance of these behaviors.
The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between the severity of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis/non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH/NAFLD) in naïve and hepatitis C (HCV) positive patients and the amplitude of alpha-defensin immunohistochemical staining in liver biopsy.
This study is an open-label split-mouth study in which Pocket-X Gel, a periodontal in-situ gelling product, will be applied to periodontal pockets in one/two mouth segment(s) of participants, following scaling and root planing on the entire mouth, while the contralateral segment(s) will serve as control. The aim of the study is to investigate the safety and efficacy of Pocket-X Gel in improving the healing of the gingiva and preventing bacterial re-colonization in the periodontal pocket following scaling and root planing.
The main purpose of this study is to assess the safety of the combination of JNJ-63723283 and daratumumab (Part 1); to compare the overall response rate (ORR) in participants treated with JNJ-63723283 in combination with daratumumab versus daratumumab alone (Part 2); and to compare progression-free survival (PFS) in participants treated with JNJ-63723283 in combination with daratumumab versus daratumumab alone (Part 3).
The objective of the current study is to investigate the hemodynamic changes in the peripheral microcirculation system as a response to various changes, using noninvasive thermography and laser doppler
The incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) infection in clean dermatologic surgery is very low, between 1-3%. Studies have demonstrated a much higher infection rate in skin excision surgeries in the lower limbs, up to 10% in most studies, and even 35.7% infection rate in a recent study from Australia. To our knowledge, there are no clinical trials demonstrating the efficacy of prophylactic antibiotic given prior to skin lesion excision from the lower limbs.
Investigators hypothesize that combination of ATLG with PTCy in matched or mismatched unrelated hematopoietic stem cell transplantation will reduce acute and chronic GVHD incidence. Furthermore it will allow shortening of the length of post-transplantation immunosuppression with calcineurin inhibitor (CNI) administration (currently administrated in addition to ATG as GVHD prophylaxis in daily common practice)
