There are about 9403 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Switzerland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To prospectively evaluate in a multicenter open label trial whether the use of zotarolimus-eluting ENDEAVOR Stent implantation in patients at low restenosis or at high bleeding or thrombotic risk will decrease the incidence of 12-month major adverse cardiac events (MACE) including overall death, any myocardial infarction (MI) or any target vessel revascularization (TVR).
The primary objective of the study is to examine the effect of denosumab on lumbar spine bone mineral density (BMD) after one year of treatment in newly transplanted renal allograft recipients. Secondary endpoints include BMD changes at the total hip and the femoral neck, changes in body height, changes in bone mineral metabolism parameters, incidence of fractures, and allograft function at one year. Safety measurements include the occurrence of rejection episodes, infectious complications, graft loss and mortality. - Trial with medicinal product
RATIONALE: Androgens can cause the growth of prostate cancer cells. Androgen deprivation therapy may stop the adrenal glands from making androgens. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial studies androgen-deprivation therapy and radiation therapy in treating patients with prostate cancer.
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-arm study will assess the safety and efficacy of pertuzumab in addition to chemotherapy plus trastuzumab as adjuvant therapy in participants with operable HER2-positive primary breast cancer. This study will be carried out in collaboration with the Breast International Group (BIG).
The purpose of this study is to compare the BIOTRONIK Orsiro Drug Eluting Stent System with the Abbott Xience Prime™ Drug Eluting Stent System with respect to in-stent Late Lumen Loss in a non-inferiority study in de novo coronary lesions at 9 months.
RATIONALE: It is not yet know whether higher per daily radiation therapy is equally as effective as standard per daily radiation therapy in treating breast cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial studies how well an accelerated course of higher per daily radiation therapy with concomitant boost works compared to standard per daily radiation therapy with a sequential boost in treating patients with early-stage breast cancer that was removed by surgery.
The PROMUS Element™ clinical trial (PLATINUM-PLUS) consists of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) in the European Union (EU) which will enroll approximately 2980 subjects (2:1 randomization PROMUS Element™: Xience™ Prime) in a Population of consecutive, all comers in the reimbursed indications per-country All subjects will be screened per the protocol required inclusion/exclusion criteria.
The purpose of this observational clinical evaluation is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Solitaire FR Device in subjects requiring mechanical thrombectomy when used according to its Instruction For Use (IFU), in real life practice.
Many patients undergoing coronary angiography are found to have no significant coronary artery disease (CAD) despite angina equivalent symptoms and/or electrocardiographic abnormalities suggestive of myocardial ischemia. The aim of this study is to systematically assess patients with angina equivalent symptoms despite normal coronary angiograms and to evaluate their symptoms according to a defined algorithm.
Compare completeness and modality of revascularization, operative and postoperative results and 1 year clinical outcomes in unselected high risk patients referred for primary coronary artery bypass surgery. Patients will be randomized to undergo off-pump coronary artery bypass graft (OPCAB) or coronary artery bypass graft with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB/CAB).
