NCT ID: NCT00425919 Terminated - Diabetes Mellitus Clinical Trials

Study Evaluating PPM-204 In Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: January 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to learn whether PPM-204 has an effect on lowering blood glucose (blood sugar) levels and is safe in treating people with type 2 diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT00425633 Terminated - Clinical trials for Ventilator Adverse Event

Efficacy Study of Homeopathic Potassium Dichromate to Treat Tracheal Secretions in Critically Ill Patients

Start date: January 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out whether homeopathic potassium dichromate will decrease the time on the breathing machine and the amount of phlegm that you produce in your lungs. In addition, this study will look at whether participants spend less time in a critical care unit and if the chances of being placed back on a breathing machine can be lessened.

NCT ID: NCT00422669 Terminated - Clinical trials for Cardiac Pacing, Artificial

Optimize RV Selective Site Pacing Clinical Trial

Start date: January 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the Optimize RV study is to determine the long-term effect of selective site pacing. Selective site pacing refers to which area of the right ventricle the lead is placed. The goal of select site pacing is to improve how the heart contracts when paced in the ventricle. By pacing in select sites, it is possible to better copy the natural pattern of contraction of the heart.

NCT ID: NCT00420914 Terminated - Thrombocytopenia Clinical Trials

Strategies for Transfusion of Platelets (SToP)

Start date: October 2003
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the hemostatic efficacy of a low dose platelet transfusion strategy compared to a standard dose platelet transfusion strategy.

NCT ID: NCT00417885 Terminated - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

A Clinical Trial Assessing Efficacy and Safety of Sunitinib and Exemestane in Patients With ER [Estrogen Receptor] + and/or PgR [Progesterone Receptor] + Breast Cancer

Start date: June 2007
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To assess progression-free survival at the combination dose determined in the Phase 1 portion of the study, and safety of sunitinib combined with exemestane in patients with metastatic or locally-recurrent, unresectable breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00417768 Terminated - Abscess Clinical Trials

Safety and Effectiveness of tPA in Intra-abdominal Abscesses

Start date: July 2005
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To determine if instillation of tissue plasminogen activator into a percutaneously drained intra-abdominal abscess cavity results in faster resolution of the abscess compared to normal standard of care.

NCT ID: NCT00414570 Terminated - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

An Imaging Study of [18]F-fluoro-3'-Deoxy-3'-L-fluorothymidine ([18]F-FLT) in Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Who Will be Treated With Gemcitabine or Other Nucleoside Analogs

Start date: November 2007
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The objectives of this pilot study are: (i) to compare response to chemotherapy, time to disease progression and overall survival in patients with pancreatic cancer who will be treated with gemcitabine (or other nucleoside analogs) who demonstrate [18]F-FLT uptake to those patients who do not demonstrate [18]F-FLT uptake; (ii) to correlate [18]F-FLT uptake with hENT1 expression in biopsy samples where available; (iii)to determine the presence or absence of uptake, the relative uptake score (RUS), standardized uptake value (SUV), and tumor to background ratios (T/B) of [18]F-FLT in patients with known carcinoma of the pancreas and assess this uptake in relation to time to disease progression; and (iv) to demonstrate the safety of [18]F-FLT.

NCT ID: NCT00406653 Terminated - Crohn's Disease Clinical Trials

A Study of Abatacept in Patients With Active Crohn's Disease

Start date: December 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical research study is to learn if abatacept can improve signs and symptoms of active Crohn's Disease in patients who have not had an adequate response to other therapies. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.

NCT ID: NCT00405808 Terminated - Obesity Clinical Trials

Rimonabant in Abdominally Obese Patients With Impaired Fasting Blood Glucose

PRADO
Start date: December 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Primary objective: To determine the effect of Rimonabant 20mg on the co-primary endpoint including Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG), HDL-Cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglyceride (TG) levels over a period of 12 months when prescribed with a mild hypocaloric diet in abdominally obese patients with impaired fasting blood glucose and with or without associated comorbidities. Main Secondary objectives: To determine the effect of 12 months Rimonabant treatment versus placebo on changes in waist circumference (WC), body weight, glycemic parameters and lipid parameters. To assess the safety of 12 months Rimonabant treatment versus placebo in these patients.

NCT ID: NCT00402948 Terminated - Asthma Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of Two Dosages of Inhaled TPI ASM8 Compared to Placebo in Mild to Moderate Asthmatic Patients

Start date: February 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional
