There are about 13446 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Belgium. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy and safety of twice daily (bid) oral midostaurin in patients with Aggressive Systemic Mastocytosis (ASM) or Mast Cell Leukemia (MCL) with or without an Associated Hematological clonal Non-Mast cell lineage Disease (AHNMD).
This study is an international, open-label, multi-center, Phase II, multiple dose, dose-finding study to investigate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetic characteristics of BPS-MR tablets in male and female patients with PAH. Patients who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria will enter the Treatment Phase at a Baseline visit. Patients will begin taking one BPS-MR tablet (60µg) twice daily (b.i.d.) escalating by one tablet b.i.d. each week to a maximum dose of 600µg (ten tablets) b.i.d or until the patient reaches their MTD. Following the achievement of the MTD, patients will be down-titrated off BPS-MR in weekly one tablet b.i.d. decrements. Patients may, alternatively, elect to continue taking the study drug at their MTD in a separate open-label extension study.
This study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy profile, in two different dose regimens of Edoxaban (DU-176b), (an investigational new drug being tested for the prevention of stroke/systemic embolic events (SEE)), in individuals with atrial fibrillation. Patients will be randomized to one of three treatment groups: High Dose Regimen, Low Dose Regimen, & Warfarin. The expected duration of the study is 24 months.
At step 1, patients with advanced solid tumors will receive CP-4126 capsules following a dose escalation schedule until the maximum tolerated dose is reached. At step 2, 20 patients will be randomized. They will receive at days 1 and 8 in a double cross design either oral CP-4126 at the recommended dose or gemcitabine 1000mg/m2 intravenously. At both steps, the schedule of treatment will be day 1, 8, 15 q4w until complete response or disease worsening/ progressing. All further treatment at step 2 will be oral CP-4126.
A major factor in the respiratory health of cystic fibrosis (CF) subjects is acquisition of chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections. The infection rate with P. aeruginosa increases with age and by age 18 years, 80% of CF subjects in the U.S. are infected. Liposomal Amikacin for Inhalation (Arikace™) is a sterile aqueous liposomal suspension consisting of amikacin sulfate encapsulated in liposomes. This formulation of amikacin maximizes the achievable dose and delivery to the lungs of subjects infected via a nebulizer. Because liposome particles are small enough to penetrate and diffuse through sputum into the bacterial biofilm, they deposit drug in close proximity to the bacterial colonies, thus improving the bioavailability of amikacin at the infection site. The clinically achievable doses of amikacin in the LAI formulation can effectively increase the half-life of the drug in the lungs, and decrease the potential for systemic toxicity. LAI offers several advantages over current therapies in treating CF subjects with chronic infection caused by P. aeruginosa.
This is a study of an experimental drug (neratinib) versus a combination of drugs (lapatinib and capecitabine) in women who have erbB-2 (HER-2) positive metastatic or locally advanced breast cancer. The goal of this study is to compare the two regimens in shrinking tumors and extending the lives of women with erbB2 (HER2) positive breast cancer. The study will also compare the safety of the two regimens and to compare quality of life of patients taking the two regimens.
Disturbances of acquired immunity are considered to be responsible, at least partly, for the high infection rate and inadequate response to vaccinations observed in hemodialysis (HD) patients and renal transplant recipient (RTR). The present prospective trial aims at (a) evaluating the immunogenicity of a standard influenza vaccine in HD and RTR patients and (b) at identifying determinants of the immune response.
A multi-center single-arm clinical trial is being conducted to evaluate SeriACL device safety and performance during total anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
This study is conducted in Europe. The objective of this observational study is to evaluate the number of serious side effects, when initiating NovoMix® treatment in patients with type 2 diabetes who previously used a human premix insulin under normal clinical practice
