Filter by:The use of MRI imaging and image fusion in radiation therapy has dramatically increased during the past decade. However, the existing MRI-imaging protocols, imaging software and pulse sequences are all optimized for diagnostic purposes. With the introduction of the MR-linac, there is a critical and imminent need to develop imaging protocols that build and adapt the existing imaging parameters within the scope of the FDA-approved software to acquire MRI images that have less geometric distortion and better spatial resolution.
The aim of this study is to develop and validate a patient-reported-outcome instrument (PROFTC-I: Patient Reported Outcome Financial Toxicity in Cancer - Italy) able to describe and measure financial problems of Italian patients receiving cancer treatment.
MRI guided adaptive brachytherapy (BT) represents the gold standard in the treatment of gynecological cancers. Commercially available standard MRI compatible applicators for BT of gynecological cancers don't always allow for optimal target volume coverage. Three-dimensional (3D) printed technology enables versatile possibilities of improvement of standard applicators and development of novel applicators with better coverage of the target volume. The purpose of this study is to implement and assess 3D printing technology as an instrument for designing and manufacturing applicators for individualized BT of gynecological cancers.
International registry for cancer patients evaluating the feasibility and clinical utility of an Artificial Intelligence-based precision oncology clinical trial matching tool, powered by a virtual tumor boards (VTB) program, and its clinical impact on pts with advanced cancer to facilitate clinical trial enrollment (CTE), as well as the financial impact, and potential outcomes of the intervention.

NSHDS (Northern Sweden Health and Disease Study) is an umbrella term for a prospective biobank with related survey data. The sample collection consists of three subcohorts, Västerbotten Intervention Programme (VIP), Mammography Screening Project (MA) and MONICA (MONItoring of Trends and Determinants in CArdiovascular Disease). The blood samples are stored at the Northern Sweden Biobank.
This clinical research studies the physiology and immunology of new-onset post-transplant diabetes mellitus in patients undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT), hyperglycemic clamps, and immune assays will be used to define the mechanisms associated with abnormal glucose homeostasis following stem cell transplantation. Information from this clinical trial could be used to develop standardized screening procedures or to develop optimal treatment strategies for patients developing post-transplant diabetes mellitus.
This research studies factors affecting Chinese patient participation in cancer clinical trials and their knowledge regarding clinical trials. The investigators design this study to determining how patients makes decisions about participating in a clinical trial and know about patients' attitude toward clinical trials. The investigators aim to find ways to make cancer clinical trials in China more efficient and satisfied patients participating in clinical trials in China.
This is a single-center, correlative pilot study evaluating potential biomarkers predictive of immune-related adverse events associated with immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
The goal of this research study is to learn about the quality of life, experiences with treatment, and healthcare costs of patients who are receiving long-term treatment for venous thromboembolism (VTE) that is related to cancer. This is an investigational study. Up to 260 participants will be enrolled in this multicenter study. Up to 170 will take part in MD Anderson.
