Filter by:The aim of this prospective, single-arm intervention study is to evaluate the acceptability (compliance, gastrointestinal tolerance, and palatability) to a low calorie, low volume, ready to use, high protein liquid in patients with elevated protein needs.
This is a single-arm, prospective, interventional study in cancer survivors and patients to examine the feasibility of a mobile health application, Elly (Elly Health Inc.), to reduce levels of anxiety, stress, loneliness, and social isolation. Participants will be given access to the Elly phone application developed by Elly Health Inc. and will be asked to complete questionnaires measuring quality of life at multiple timepoints during the study.
The purpose of this pilot study is to explore the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of a 6-week mobile health (mHealth) physical activity intervention among adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors being treated at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
This study will test the acceptability and feasibility of a telehealth intervention to improve communication between patients and medical providers in adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients receiving chemotherapy treatment.
People diagnosed with cancer may face many difficult decisions regarding their care and preferences. This may be particularly challenging when the cancer cannot be cured. It is therefore hugely important that patients have the information they need so that they can be involved in these decisions and in their care. This qualitative interview study aims to hear from patients who might have found that the information they were given wasn't easy to understand, or who haven't been able to get involved in their care as much as they would have liked. We hope to learn from these experiences in order to improve the way patients are given information and supported to become involved in their care.
This is a prospective, multisite (but all within the UTSW IRB), observational study assessing the relationship of hope to anxiety and depression, QoL, and social support over time in the first year after cancer diagnosis or relapse in AYA (ages 15-29 years of age).
Our knowledge on cardiovascular side effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) is restricted to this date to observational retrospective data (mainly case series and pharamcovigilance analysis). We aim at assessing the incidence of cardiovascular adverse side effects of ICIs by means of a prospective interventional single centre study using multiple biomarkers.
The purpose of this research is to test an intervention designed to identify cancer needs and connect patients with services that address those needs. Participation in this research will involve completing 2 online surveys over the course of 1 month; each should take about 15 minutes to complete.
An intervention study on the effect of cannabidiol on lean body mass in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, at the department of Clinical Oncology at Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, Denmark. Fat free mass will be measured by bioimpedance spectroscopy. As secondary outcomes protein and energy intake, nausea, taste alterations and life quality will be assessed by oral interviews and questionnaires.
