Randomized clinical trial between 2groups,the study group to be injected in the TMJ with injectable platelet rich fibrin with vitamin C and the control group to be injected in the TMJ with injectable platelet rich fibrin alone in management of internal Temporomandibular joint derangement
The purpose of the Feasibility study is to characterize the safety of the Valiant Mona LSA Thoracic Stent Graft System, including an assessment of the safety and effectiveness of the device acutely and at the 30 day visit in the identified subject population. This study will also evaluate the current instructions for use and may direct changes to the delivery and deployment steps. The purpose of the expansion to the Feasibility Study is to characterize the Valiant Mona LSA Thoracic Stent Graft System, in particular to assess the safety and effectiveness of the device acutely and at the 30 day visit, in subjects enrolled with chronic, Type B dissections.
The current study was a pilot study examining a novel treatment for weight loss and emotional eating. The intervention is a group-based approach, and it includes a focus on teaching emotion regulation skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and traditional behavioral weight loss techniques. The goal of the study was to develop and refine the treatment protocol. Additional goals of the study were to evaluate feasibility and acceptability, to see whether the intervention could be administered and whether participants like the treatment and believe it helps them. Changes in weight and emotional eating from baseline to post-treatment will also be measured.
Phase II, Open-labeled, Prospective, Multi-center study of assessing the link between microglial activation and dopaminergic denervation kinetics in the early stage of Parkinson disease, by using the imaging of [18F]DPA-714 a new ligand of Translocator Protein-18 kDa (TSPO) by Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of a recombinant adeno-associated virus vector (rAAV2tYF-GRK1-RPGR) in patients with X-linked retinitis pigmentosa caused by RPGR mutations.
This randomized phase II trial studies how well cabozantinib s-malate and nivolumab work in treating patients with endometrial cancer that has come back (recurrent) or spread to other places in the body (advanced or metastatic). Cabozantinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving cabozantinib and nivolumab may work better in treating endometrial cancer.
This phase II trial studies the best dose and side effects of sorafenib tosylate and nivolumab in treating patients with liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable), has spread to nearby tissues or lymph nodes (locally advanced) or to other places in the body (metastatic). Sorafenib tosylate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving sorafenib tosylate and nivolumab may work better in treating patients with liver cancer.
This study will be conducted in adult participants diagnosed with advanced tumors to characterize the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and activity of FS118. This is a Phase 1/2, multi-center, open-label, multiple-dose, first-in-human study, designed to systematically assess safety and tolerability, to identify the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) for FS118 in participants with advanced tumors and to determine the efficacy of FS118 in participants with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) as monotherapy and in combination with paclitaxel. In addition to safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity and efficacy will also be assessed.
Adolescents and young adults (AYA) patients experience significant distress in specific areas at diagnosis. The investigators hypothesize that providing developmentally-appropriate AYA-specific psychosocial care, with an individualized multi-disciplinary program will alleviate this distress, as well as improve health-related quality of life (HRQOL). The investigators' primary aim is to evaluate the impact of psychosocial interventions on HRQOL. The secondary aims are to firstly identify the types of psychosocial distress experienced and secondly, to assess the feasibility of implementing a psychosocial screening and intervention program amongst AYA patients newly diagnosed with cancer.
Therapeutic relaxation has shown benefits for improving health and quality of life of community dwelling elderly people. Although little is known about the efficacy of a specific method of therapeutic relaxation - Psychomotor Massage - compared with other relaxation methods. Therefore, the present study aims to examine the effects of two therapeutic programs (Psychomotor Massage and Progressive Muscle Relaxation) on health and quality of life indicators of community dwelling elderly people. This randomized controlled trial will include an intervention period of 8 weeks for control and for the two experimental groups - attending 30-minute sessions, twice a week - and a follow-up period of 4 weeks without intervention. The evaluation will be performed 1) at baseline, 2) at post-intervention and pre-follow-up, and 3) at post-follow-up. The main study variables will be: daily activities, psychomotor abilities, cognitive functioning, emotional states, pain perception, quality of sleep, body awareness and body image, and quality of life. Health biomarkers will be also assessed through saliva analyses.
