Study on Transbronchial Ultrasound-guided Cryobiopsy in the Diagnosis of Mediastinal Lymphadenopathy

Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the diagnostic effcacy and safety of transbronchial ultrasound-guided cryobiopsy in the diagnosis of mediastinal lymphadenopathy. The main question it aims to answer are: the effectiveness and safety of transbronchial ultrasound-guided cryobiopsy in the diagnosis of mediastinal lymphadenopathy. Participants will undergo transbronchial ultrasound-guided cryobiopsy (EBUS-TBCB) and endobronchial ultrasound-guided trans-bronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA).

NCT ID: NCT05837299 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Advanced Solid Tumor

A Study of IMC008 for Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

An open label, multi-center, dose-escalating study to evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of IMC008 in CLDN18.2 positive advanced solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT05844254 Recruiting - Gingival Recession Clinical Trials

Comparison of Root Coverage Outcomes by NORD Flap Versus Subepithelial Connective Tissue Graft in RT1 Gingival Recession

Recession type
Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Management of GR in the initial stages (when there is no inter proximal attachment and bone loss involved) has better clinical outcomes and reduces the chances of further progression of recession. Surgical treatment of recession involves techniques like pedicle grafts and free soft tissue grafts and their modifications. Sub epithelial connective tissue graft is considered as the gold standard in root coverage techniques. However this procedure involves a second surgical site increasing surgical time, complexity and patient morbidity. So there is a need of a technique which overcomes these limitations, is easier to perform and helps to achieve comparable root coverage with stable results over a long term. Novel overlapping rotated double (NORD) flap is a novel technique which offers a solution to this problem. This may help to achieve greater thickness of gingiva in the region of GR after healing and may reduce the risk of future recession. This technique is being compared with the bilaminar technique utilizing the sub epithelial connective tissue graft at the control sites, both the test and control groups will be treated using a microsurgical approach. If there is no significant difference in the root coverage achieved between the two techniques, this may reduce the need of harvesting connective tissue graft from a second surgical site. This technique is also expected to have better patient reported outcomes and will benefit the patients and operator both. This technique may also help to modify the phenotype of the affected tooth, thus making the results more stable.

NCT ID: NCT05859581 Recruiting - Colon Cancer Clinical Trials

The Value of MRI in Assessing the Status of Retroperitoneal Resection Margin in Colon Cancer

Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to explore the value of colon MRI in assessing the status of retroperitoneal resection margin (RPRM) for advanced colon cancer. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Concordance between MRI suspected RPRM positive and pathologically confirmed positive. - Can RPRM-positive patients undergo beyond complete mesocolic excision (CME) surgery in order to achieve R0 resection? Participants will undergo colon MRI examination and once MRI suspects RPRM positive, they will receive beyond CME surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05874661 Recruiting - Stroke, Acute Clinical Trials

FOA on Sit to Stand in Individuals Post Stroke

Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Focus of attention refers to what a person is thinking about during a task, with an internal focus being thinking about what one's body is doing and an external focus being thinking about a target or outcome in the environment. The purpose of this study is to fill some of the gaps in the literature by examining the effects of focus of attention on performance and learning of sit to stand in individuals post stroke. This study will investigate whether an internal or external focus of attention can lead to improved use of the affected lower extremity during the sit to stand transition, while maintaining an upright trunk position.

NCT ID: NCT06078995 Recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Tenecteplase Thrombolytic Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke in China

TTT-AIS CHINA
Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of the study is to investigate the effectiveness and safety of rhTNK-tPA in acute ischemic stroke patients within 4.5 hours of symptom onset in a real-world clinical setting.

NCT ID: NCT06154200 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Aqueous Tear Deficiency

Eyelid Androgen Treatment in Dry Eye

Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of applying androgen sex hormone (i.e., testosterone) gel on the eyelids in the treatment of dry eye patients. Several studies have demonstrated positive treatment effects in dry eye, but few have applied testosterone gels to the eyelids.

NCT ID: NCT06183073 Recruiting - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Caudal Block With Bupivacaine and Dexmedetomidine Versus TAP Block With Bupivacaine Alone for Postoperative Analgesia in Pediatric Undergoing Infraumbical Surgeries

Start date: April 2, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Acute pain management for pediatric surgical patients intraoperatively and postoperatively is important for their comfort and psychological impact. Children aged 3-9 years old are included in the study and are divided randomly into two groups (45 children in each): Group D: Caudal block with bupivacaine 0.25% in a dose of (1 ml / kg) and dexmedetomidine 1μg/ kg. Group T: TAP block with bupivacaine 0.25% in a dose of (0.5 ml / kg).

NCT ID: NCT05172089 Recruiting - Diabetic Foot Clinical Trials

Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) Biofilm Infection and Recurrence

DFUBiofilm
Start date: April 2, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are one of the most common reasons for hospitalization of diabetic patients and frequently results in amputation of lower limbs. Of the one million people who undergo non-traumatic leg amputations annually worldwide, 75% are performed on people who have type 2 diabetes (T2DM). The risk of death at 10 years for a diabetic with DFU is twice as high as the risk for a patient without a DFU. The rate of amputation in patients with DFU is 38.4%4. Infection is a common (>50%) complication of DFU. Emerging evidence underscores the significant risk that biofilm infection poses to the non-healing DFU. Biofilms are estimated to account for 60% of chronic wound infections. In the biofilm form, bacteria are in a dormant metabolic state. Thus, standard clinical techniques like the colony forming unit (CFU) assay to detect infection may not detect biofilm infection. Thus, biofilm infection may be viewed as a silent maleficent threat in wound care.
