We will perform a randomized sham-controlled trial of aiTBS to an anxiosomatic circuit in patients with anxiety-related disorders (i.e., panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder). 80 participants with an anxiety-related disorder (defined below) will receive 50 active or sham TMS treatments over 5 days (following the SAINT protocol, which is FDA-cleared for MDD. The primary outcome will be the BAI, with a modified recall window to reflect the short treatment interval. Participants randomized to sham will be offered an open-label crossover extension.
This is a Phase 2 single arm study to evaluate efficacy and safety of Pembrolizumab before with BEAM ASCT followed by Pembrolizumab maintenance for 1 year. The aim of this study is to examine the mechanisms of transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation (tSCS) for improving cardiovascular and pulmonary function in individuals with chronic motor-complete spinal cord injury (SCI) by measuring vascular related endothelial biomarkers, plasma catecholamines, and respiratory parameters.
Gastric cancer, also known as stomach cancer, is a serious disease that affects the stomach. It's one of the most common types of cancer, and sadly, many people die from it each year. But there's hope! We can catch gastric cancer early with a special test called endoscopy. This test helps doctors find cancer or pre-cancerous changes in the stomach early, when it's easier to treat. However, not enough people get this test, especially in places where healthcare isn't easily available. That's why we're doing this study. We want to find out if we can encourage more people to get the endoscopy test for gastric cancer. We're going to try two different ways to encourage people to get the test. First, we'll give some people money or other incentives to help cover the costs of getting the test. Second, we'll give others information and support to help them understand why the test is important and how it can help them. We'll be doing this study in two provinces in China, where gastric cancer is a big problem. We'll ask thousands of people to join the study, and we'll randomly assign them to one of the two groups. Then, we'll see if more people in one group get the endoscopy test compared to the other group. Our hope is that by finding out what works best, we can help more people catch gastric cancer early and get the treatment they need. This could save many lives and make a big difference in fighting this disease.
Peripheral artery disease, lack or blood flow to the legs, has a high prevalence in the Veteran population. In patients with severe peripheral artery disease that requires an endovascular or surgical intervention for lower leg revascularization, the long-term mortality of approximately 50% is worse that most cancers. The goal of this study is to develop a management strategy to improve cardiovascular outcomes in this high-risk peripheral artery disease population after lower extremity revascularization.
To study the role of intraoperative ultrasound of small bowel as a possible tool that can reduce the rate of histologically involved resection margins from Crohn's Disease.
This is a prospective, non-interventional, multicenter, registry of patients with pulmonary associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD).
This will be a prospective, open-label, single-arm, multi-center, pilot study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) neuromodulation using NaviFUS System in patients with drug-resistant unilateral or bilateral temporal lobe epilepsy (DR-TLE).
To conduct an unblinded pragmatic randomized controlled trial (pRCT) "Improvement of PPROM Management with Prophylactic Antimicrobial Therapy (iPROMPT)" of a seven-day course of ceftriaxone, clarithromycin, and metronidazole versus the current standard of care of a seven-day course of ampicillin/amoxicillin and azithromycin or erythromycin to prolong pregnancy and decrease adverse perinatal outcomes among hospitalized pregnant individuals undergoing expectant management of PPROM <34 weeks.
