This is a Phase III, randomized, multicenter, 2-arm, open-label clinical trial designed to compare the safety and efficacy of Hemay022+Aromatase inhibitor(AI) with that of capecitabine + lapatinib in participants with ER+/HER2+ locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Participants will be treated until disease progression (PD), unmanageable toxicity, or study termination. Once disease progression is reported, all participants will be followed for survival every 3 months until death, loss to follow-up.

Effects of a Manual Therapy Program to Reduce the Evolution Time of Axillary Web Syndrome

ABSTRACT Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women, with more than a million new cases annually. One of the most frequent surgical and post-actinic sequelae and well known is postmastectomy lymphedema. The axillary web syndrome is another sequel that limits the functionality of the patient and delays the protocol times of application of treatments cancer, and in many cases this sequela is misdiagnosed. This surgical sequelusually disappears spontaneously after the third month of appearance, but this implies a long period of discomfort and limitations for the user, at the same time that it may delay the application of Radiotherapy within the indicated protocol deadlines (due to the need for a body posture with abduction and flexion of the affected upper limb for its application and with the lymphatic thrombus is impossible to get). With the present quasi-experimental study, the investigator intend to show that the application of Kinesitherapy and stretching from the beginning of the appearance of the cord, in a controlled and scheduled way by the physiotherapist, it is possible to reduce the time in which the lymphatic thrombus is present, and therefore, recover functionality, mobility, reduce pain and be able to apply the patients´ treatments within of the established deadlines. The investigator intend to apply this therapy in the intervention group and compare thrombus evolution times with the control group.

UCLA Breast Cancer Survivor Health Promotion Research Study

Pilot randomized controlled parallel group behavior change comparative effectiveness trial involves 30 breast cancer survivors interested in losing excess body fat. Both interventions include dietary + exercise prescriptions that hold promise for reducing the survivors' risk of cancer recurrence. Both interventions are consistent with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans but the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP)-based approach focuses on weight loss through calorie restriction and increased physical activity while the Highly Microbiota-Accessible Foods (HMAFs) approach is intended to be a low-numeracy version of a Mediterranean-style diet and increased physical activity. The DPP approach is considered to be a high-numeracy intervention because it requires that consumers keep track of all calories consumed and expended per day and to endeavor to maintain a calorie deficit each day during the active weight loss phase. For both conditions, the 12 to 13-week intervention includes 2 virtual home visits, 2 virtual group education sessions and 7 telephone or Zoom-based coaching sessions by well-trained intervenors. Assessments occur at baseline and six months, with systemic inflammation (high sensitivity C-reactive protein) being the primary outcome measure and visceral fat being a secondary outcome. Other prespecified secondary outcomes include gut microbiota alpha-1 diversity, insulin resistance, HDL-cholesterol, daily count of highly microbiota-accessible foods, waist circumference, BMI, systolic blood pressure, ratio of fecal Proteobacteria to short chain fatty acid-generating bacteria and health-related quality of life.

Financial Toxicity in Breast Cancer Surgery

The purpose of this study is to evaluate financial toxicity, or financial harm, in breast cancer patients. The study will follow patients throughout their cancer treatment. The study investigators will measure if patients are experiencing financial toxicity and if it changes throughout treatment, and whether it's associated with different cancers, treatments, or demographics. Also, the study investigators will measure if financial toxicity impacts other areas of life (e.g., well-being, satisfaction). Finally, patients will be asked to estimate how much money they expect to spend on out-of-pocket expenses during their treatment and how their finances and employment status have changed since their cancer diagnosis.

Umbrella Trial Testing Integrative Subtype Targeted Therapeutics in Estrogen Receptor Positive, HER2-Negative Breast Cancer

The purpose of this study is to learn if adding a new drug that is targeted at a specific genetic change found in some breast tumors pre-operatively will slow the growth of the tumor more than standard anti-hormone therapy used to treat this type of breast cancer. Different therapies are being tested based on the specific gene changes in the tumor. Not every tumor will have a gene change that is being studied.
