This study assesses changes to the immune cells following hypofractionated radiation-induced DNA damage in breast cancer patients. Radiation therapy may cause immune cells to enter tumors and target cancer cells. The goal of this study is to measure the change in the level of immune cells in the tumor before and after radiation therapy.
Androgen Receptor is extensively expressed in BRCA and its role in the disease may differ depending upon molecular subtypes and stages. Androgen Receptor (AR) may act as an antagonist of estrogen receptor α (ERα), in ERα induced effect, whereas in the absence of estrogens, AR may act as an agonist, of ERα- promoting tumor. Thus, depending on the BRCA micro-environment, both agonists and antagonists of the AR have been suggested for therapeutic approaches.

Breast cancer patients who had undergone surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy suffered from complications, including shoulder stiffness, lymphedema and scar contracture. These symptoms impaired one's ADL function. Rehabilitation may relieved symptoms. However, it is difficult to estimate how long one should receive rehabilitation. The study is trying to establish a machine-learning based model in order to predict the period of rehabilitation.
Neoadjuvant therapy for HR+/HER2- breast cancer is dominated by anthracycline combined with paclitaxel chemotherapy. Aggressive neoadjuvant chemotherapy can only achieve pCR in about 10% of PATIENTS with HR-positive breast cancer. The emergence of new targeted drugs brings new life and hope to HR-positive breast cancer patients.Basic studies have shown that the abnormal state of epigenetics is associated with the metastasis of drug resistance and recurrence of tumor histone deacetylase (HDAC) is an important regulator of epigenetic regulation, and drugs targeting HDAC provide a new strategy for tumor therapy. The ACE study suggests that selective HDAC inhibitor chidamide in combination with endocrine therapy significantly improves survival benefit in patients with hr-positive HER2-negative advanced breast cancer who relapsed or progressed after endocrine therapy, providing a new treatment option for these patients.In conclusion, we hypothesize that neoadjuvant therapy with chidamide combination therapy provides a better strategy for patients with HR + /HER2 - breast adenocarcinoma.
This is a retrospective, multicenter, observational study in Japan by medical record review of advanced breast cancer (ABC) patients who have received palbociclib plus endocrine therapy (ET) as first line or second line setting. For the purposes of this study, analyses will be descriptive in nature. No formal hypothesis testing is planned.
As far as breast cancer is concerned, chemotherapy (CT) is an important treatment. However, there are many adverse effects impairing the patient's quality of life (QOL), in which chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA) affects up to 65% of the patients. This condition is reversible. Nevertheless, it takes several months after CT for visible hair regrowth. Different characteristics of the new hair are common; for example, 65 percent of the patients have experienced a graying, curling, or straightening effect. Besides, the emotional trauma due to alopecia can not be neglected. Currently, scalp cooling is the only available and verified management for prevention. Unfortunately, the success rate of scalp cooling is variable, especially among the patients receiving anthracycline-based combinations. Low-level light therapy (LLLT) has been proven as a therapeutic technique for adrenergic alopecia. Recently, investigators have checked the validity of LLLT for the CIA. Although the preliminary outcome showed failure at accelerating hair recovery, technical progress of LLLT may improve the end result. Specifically, LLLT is a technique that utilizes laser diodes (LD) or light-emitting diodes (LED) to promote tissue repair. The light source from LD is coherent while LED is an incoherent light source. Therefore, LDs can deliver energy to tissues more efficiently than LEDs. To comprehensively evaluate the beneficial effect of LLLT in treating CIA, we conduct a clinical trial with a more advanced device equipped with 69 LDs. The project aims to explore the effect of low-level light therapy in chemotherapy-induced alopecia. We expect the therapy will lead to an improvement in the patient's hair count, hair width, and quality of life after chemotherapy.
This is an observational case-control study of tissues collected from women with ER+HER2- breast cancers. The immune environments of these cancers will be compared to triple negative and HER2+ breast cancers. No randomization or changes to standard of care treatment will occur as part of the study.
This study now plans to explore the efficacy and safety of hetrombopag in chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia in advanced breast cancer, so as to further guide the clinical application of hetrombopag in chemotherapy-induced platelets.
