Histology VABB-Histology Post Surgery Pilot Project (BETTY Trial)

BETTY
Start date: June 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Pilot study on patients with invasive ductal breast cancer triple negative or receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2 (HER2) overexpressed, any axillary lymphnodes status (any cN), candidates to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The principal endpoint of the study will be the accuracy of the result of the histological examination of the Vacuum- Assisted Breast Biopsy (VABB) performed pre-surgery in comparison to the result of the histological examination of the definitive surgical intervention in patients with radiological complete response at Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) done after the end of neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT04365790 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Investigation of Gene Mutations in Patients With Triple-negative and Patients With HER2+ Breast Cancer Adenocarcinoma

Start date: April 18, 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The present study is a transnational study in patients with high risk recurrent breast cancer who receive adjuvant chemotherapy with epirubicin and cyclophosphamide followed by docetaxel or paclitaxel.

NCT ID: NCT04361240 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Cardiotoxicity in Breast Cancer Patients Treated With Proton or Photon Radiotherapy: A RadComp Companion Study

Start date: August 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a companion study to the "Pragmatic Randomized Trial of Proton vs Photon Therapy for Patients with non-Metastatic Breast Cancer Receiving Comprehensive Nodal Radiation: A Radiotherapy Comparative Effectiveness (RadComp) Consortium Trial" (NCT02603341). The investigators will collect cardiovascular (CV) biomarkers and echocardiograms prior to, during, and for up to 1 year following radiation for a subset of patients enrolled on RadComp and to evaluate the impact of proton vs photon radiation therapy (RT) on CV function and structure.

NCT ID: NCT04354675 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of AI Genetic Counseling Program vs In-person Genetic Counseling in Breast Cancer

Start date: June 29, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to help better understand the uptake and impact of genetic testing for women diagnosed with breast cancer who do not meet National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) criteria for genetic testing. By doing so, the research team will gain a better understanding of the clinical implications for offering genetic testing for all patients recently diagnosed with breast cancer versus only offering genetic testing to those meeting NCCN criteria. By offering genetic counseling and genetic testing to all women recently diagnosed with breast cancer, there will be a shortage of genetic counselors. This study will also assess the feasibility of using artificial intelligence to assist in the genetic counseling process.

NCT ID: NCT04343820 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Female

Delayed Breast Reconstruction by Prepectoral Implant After Lipo-preparation (RM2prepec)

RM2prepec
Start date: December 24, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Breast implants associated with the installation of a complementary matrix (of dermal or synthetic origin), showed satisfactory results in term of post-operative follow-up but also aesthetic outcomes. The objective of the subcutaneous positioning of this implant, is to reduce the muscular pain related to the stretching of the muscular muscle, the deformations related to the muscular contraction with an animation of the prothesis, but also the risk of hull when associated with a matrix. It also pursues the objective, of obtaining a better aesthetic result, by systematically coupling at least one lipo-modelling session. For a long time, patients with a history of mastectomy and radiotherapy benefited from secondary breast flap reconstruction, in order to reduce the risk of complications and achieve a satisfying aesthetic outcome. But the lipo-filling technique allowed to reconsider the management of these patients. The benefits of fat tissue transplants are know to improve tissue trophicity (flexibility, thickness, vascularization). The objective of this study, is to evaluate the feasibility of secondary breast reconstructions by prepectoral positioned implant after lipo-preparation of the wall.

Monalizumab and Trastuzumab In Metastatic HER2-pOSitive breAst Cancer: MIMOSA-trial

MIMOSA
Start date: March 23, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In this phase II clinical trial the efficacy of the combination of monalizumab and trastuzumab is assessed in patients with metastatic or locally incurable HER2-positive breast cancer

NCT ID: NCT04303741 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Phase II Trial of Camrelizumab in Combination With Apatinib and Eribulin in Patients With Advanced TNBC

Start date: March 25, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase II, open-labeled, multi-centered,single-arm, Investigator-initiated clinical trial of camrelizumab (an anti-PD-1 antibody) in combination with apatinib (a VEGFR2 TKI) and eribulin mesylate in patients with advanced triple-negative breast cancer. We will enroll 46 subjects (Simons two stage design). This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab combined with apatinib and eribulin in the treatment of advanced TNBC.

No Axillary sUrgical Treatment In Clinically Lymph Node Negative Patients After UltraSonography

Start date: September 15, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

NAUTILUS study is a prospective, multicenter, RCT. Clinically T1,T2, node negative BCS candidates with no evidence of metastases in AUS are 1:1 randomized into no SLNB group and SLNB group. NAUTILUS study aim to establish the minimally invasive treatment of breast cancer by reexamining the necessity of sentinel lymph node biopsy among patients with invasive breast cancer who have tumors under 5cm, are clinically node-negative, and are having breast conserving surgery performed.

A Study of the Body's Response to Exercise and a Plant-Based Diet in Overweight Postmenopausal Women With Breast Cancer

Start date: March 4, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out what effects, if any, exercise and a plant-based diet have on aromatase levels in postmenopausal women who are overweight and being treated with an aromatase inhibitor for their HR+ breast cancer. The study will also look at other ways diet and exercise may affect your body (for example, changing the way your breast tissue expresses or makes genes) and your quality of life.
