HOPE-Genomics Intervention for the Improvement of Cancer Patient Knowledge of Genomics

Start date: December 30, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial studies the effectiveness of a web-based cancer education tool called Helping Oncology Patients Explore Genomics (HOPE-Genomics) in improving patient knowledge of personal genomic testing results and cancer and genomics in general. HOPE-Genomics is a web-based education tool that teaches cancer/leukemia patients, and patients who may be at high-risk for developing cancer, about genomic testing and provide patients with information about their own genomic test results. The HOPE-Genomics tool may improve patient's genomic knowledge and quality of patient-centered care. In addition, it may also improve education and care quality for future patients.

NCT ID: NCT04903990 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Circulating Fetal Cells and Breast Cancer

MoSaiC2
Start date: May 14, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

After pregnancy, fetal cells remain in a woman's body for years. These cells may be involved in different physiological situations (e.g. wound healing) and diseases (e.g. cancer). The study will evaluate the level of circulating fetal immune cells in patients with breast cancer vs controls with benign breast tumors, and further characterize these fetal cells. Patients participation will be limited to accepting that an additional blood sample is collected on the day of their preop consultation and blood test.

Study of CBX-12 in Subjects With Advanced or Metastatic Refractory Solid Tumors

Start date: May 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a first-in-human, Phase 1/2 open-label, multicenter, dose-escalation, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and biomarker study of CBX-12 in subjects with advanced or metastatic refractory solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT04899492 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Different Smoking Cessation Protocols: Nicotine Replacement, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Hypnotherapy in Cancer Patients Scheduled for Surgery

RESPIRE
Start date: September 29, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial offers support and assistance to patients wishing to quit smoking in order to increase the success rate of smoking cessation and all the benefits associated with it. Patients will be monitored by a tobacco specialist and will be able to benefit from one or more therapies complementary to Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT): Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Hypnotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT04899128 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Treatment With Pyrotinib-Based Therapy in Lapatinib Resistant HER2-Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a multicenter, observational, single-arm real world study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pyrotinib after lapatinib progression.

NCT ID: NCT04896580 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

IIT2020-20-SHIRAZIP-WALK: Nature Walks

Start date: June 21, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to examine whether nature-based activities provide benefits for breast cancer survivors. The investigators want to know whether a nature-based exercise program is feasible. Women who were diagnosed with breast cancer and have completed cancer treatment will be recruited for the main study. The main study will enroll up to 20 breast cancer subjects in total. This intervention will also include a sub-study examining the same outcomes among adolescents and young adult (AYA) subjects who were diagnosed with cancer (any type) and have completed cancer treatment. The sub-study will enroll up to 20 AYA (ages 18-39) subjects.

Neoadjuvant DPX-Survivac Aromatase Inhibition, Radiotherapy or Cyclophosphamide in HR+HER2- Breast Cancer

Start date: September 10, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The study seeks to establish the safety of neoadjuvant aromatase inhibitor with: DPX-Survivac, DPX-Survivac plus radiation, or DPX-Survivac with cyclophosphamide in stage I to III HR+HER2- breast cancer. There will be sequential enrollment into 3 arms with an anticipated N=6 participants per arm for N=18 participants in total. All participants will receive letrozole 2.5 mg daily during the 6 weeks of neoadjuvant therapy. Neoadjuvant therapy occurs weeks 1-6, with standard of care surgery taking place week 7 to 9.

NCT ID: NCT04883814 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

18F-fluoroestradiol (FES) PET/CT for Breast Cancer

Start date: January 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The standard of care imaging of breast cancer metastases recommended by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), CT of the chest/abdomen/pelvis and bone scan, may be suboptimal. 18F-fluoroestradiol (FES) is a novel PET tracer designed to detect estrogen receptors, which are often expressed in breast cancers. FES PET/CT may provide improved evaluation of metastases in patients with ER-positive breast cancer.

A Study of Attention and Memory Processes in Breast Cancer Survivors

Start date: May 6, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to observe the attention and memory processes in breast cancer survivors. Both cancer survivors and healthy volunteers (who are the same age as the cancer survivors) will participate in this study so we can compare the results of testing on each group of participants.
