Cancer Surveillance and Support

CANVAS
Start date: March 22, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This project aims to enhance the support for patients with breast and bowel cancer after treatment. Current follow-up care includes either self-management with patient-initiated contacts (breast cancer) or scheduled hospital visits for scans/tests for recurrence (bowel cancer). Building on extensive experience with online patient self-reporting of symptoms during treatment, the study will develop, implement and evaluate satisfaction with an improved electronic system to engage breast and bowel cancer survivors to self-report symptoms/problems online from home and get immediate tailored advice for self-management or hospital contact. The reports are displayed real-time in the hospital records alongside scans/tests to inform clinical management.

NCT ID: NCT04744506 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Targeted Resection of Axillary Metastatic Lymph Nodes After Breast Cancer Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy

Start date: November 15, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a multi-center, prospective, self-controlled study, to evaluate the feasibility of targeted axillary lymph node resection (TAD) guided by tissue marker clip with methylene blue single tracer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in T1-4N1M0 breast cancer patients. Evaluate the accuracy and false negative rate of TAD, comparing with sentinel lymph node biopsy, and explore a new axillary-preserving mode after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04740697 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Impact of the Use of Alternative and Complementary Therapies on Therapeutic Adherence in Patients Treated With taMoxifen for Early Stage Breast Cancer

EUTACAM
Start date: February 12, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a pilot, prospective, interventional, monocentric study designed to evaluate, in a real-life situation, adherence to tamoxifen treatment as a function of the taking of alternative and complementary therapies in patients with localized hormone-dependent breast cancer. 200 patients will be included in the study. Each patient will be followed for one day.

NCT ID: NCT04736186 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Prevention and Treatment of Pyrrolitinib-associated Diarrhea

Start date: May 16, 2020
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In this study, patients taking pyrrolitinib alone or combined with pyrrolitinib were recruited (170 cases of secondary prevention and 300 cases of non-secondary prevention). Non-secondary prevention: Explore the recovery time of oral loperamide 4mg T.I.D. for pyrrolitinib induced diarrhea of 1-2 degrees. Secondary prevention: To explore the incidence of grade 3 and above diarrhea during c1D1-C1D22 in patients with oral loperamide 4 mg, T.I.D. (D1-7) →4 mg, B.I.D. (D8-21).

NCT ID: NCT04724499 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Improving Cognitive Function Through High-intensity Interval Training in Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

CLARITY
Start date: July 14, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research is to determine whether a 16-week high intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise program will improve brain health among women undergoing chemotherapy and also improve cardiovascular (heart) function. The names of the study interventions involved in this study are/is: - High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

NCT ID: NCT04722718 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Sintilimab and Apatinib Combined Chemotherapy in Breast Cancer

Start date: February 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

1. The efficacy and safety of immunotherapy and antiangiotherapy in combination with chemotherapy in neoadjuvant therapy for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) were determined by the addition of sintilimab and apatinib to neoadjuvant chemotherapy 2. To clarify the breast-conserving rate, toxicity, difference in pathologic complete response (pCR) rate of patients with PD-L1 (+) and PD-L1 (-) after neoadjuvant treatment of TNBC with immunotherapy and anti-vascular therapy combined with chemotherapy and the relationship between pCR rate of immunomodulated type (IM) and non-immunomodulated type patients in "Fudan classification". 3. Through post-treatment efficacy evaluation and safety analysis, we provide new treatment strategies for TNBC patients, increase the pCR rate of TNBC patients, and ultimately improve the long-term survival of patients.

NCT ID: NCT04722692 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Delayed Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Ductal Cancer in Situ

SENTINOT_2
Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The trial aims to investigate the use of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles as a tracer for delayed sentinel lymph node dissection (d-SLND) in patients where upfront axillary surgery (SLND) is oncologically deemed unnecessary and should be avoided. This includes but is not limited to patients with a preoperative diagnosis of ductal cancer in situ of the breast (DCIS), an unclear BIRADS 4-5 planned for diagnostic excision or women planned for risk reducing mastectomy. SPIO is injected in the primary operation, and should final specimen pathology demonstrate invasive breast cancer, only then is an operation in the axilla (d-SLND) performed.

NCT ID: NCT04722341 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Time-Restricted Eating and Cancer: Clinical Outcomes, Mechanisms, and Moderators

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test whether the timing of meals can improve treatment adverse events, influence tumor biology and alter a person's mood and behaviors.

NCT ID: NCT04721886 Recruiting - Breast Carcinoma Clinical Trials

Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound Scan for the Estimation of Tissue Pressure in Patients With Breast Cancer

Start date: November 24, 2020
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial studies the use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in estimating tissue pressure in patients with breast cancer. Diagnostic procedures, such as CEUS, may help estimate tissue pressure noninvasively.

Start date: August 13, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research is to determine whether a 16-week exercise program for individuals with breast cancer and have completed treatment (i.e., surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation) for breast cancer will decrease inflammation in fat tissue.
