Immediate Breast Reconstruction's Increasing

Mastectomy in breast cancer is still a way of treatment. Nowadays, the goal is to improve reconstruction's technicals. Immediate Breast Reconstruction (IBR) is one of them, largely used in United States but less in France. However, IGR (Insitut Gustave Roussey) in Paris just wrote a new protocole wich allows more IBR by including more patients. This study aims to compare complications in 2 groups: mastectomies followed by IBR and mastectomies without IBR. The second goal will try to estimate the proportion of eligible's patients to IBR, and to analyse their surgicals and oncologicals risk factors

Trial of Pre-operative Neratinib and Endocrine Therapy With Trastuzumab in ER-Positive, HER-2 Positive Breast Cancers

Patient will be treated with neratinib, an aromatase inhibitor and trastuzumab for 24 weeks prior to surgery, following an initial 3 weeks of neratinib alone, aromatase inhibitor alone or the combination of neratinib and an aromatase inhibitor. A breast biopsy will be performed prior to Day 1 of week 4 of treatment. Following surgery, patients will receive standard of care HER2-directed and endocrine therapy at the treating physician's discretion.

The ABC Study: Assessment of Breast Density Classification

The MARIA® breast imaging system is a CE-marked radiofrequency (RF) medical imaging device. The system employs an electromagnetic imaging technique that exploits the dielectric contrast between normal and cancerous tissues. It is the intention that MARIA® will be able to offer a breast density classifier to clinician's but for this project to be successful, data is required. This study will collect the data required for the classifier to be developed.

Study of KN026 in Combination With Docetaxel as Neoadjuvant Therapy in HER2-positive Breast Cancer

This is an open-lable, multicenter, and single arm phase II trial to evaluate treatment with KN026 plus docetaxel as neoadjuvant therapy in patients with early-stage (T1c or 2, N1, M0; T2 or 3, N0, M0) or locally advanced (T1c or 2 or 3, N2, M0; T3N1M0; T1c or 2 or 3, N3a or 3b, M0) HER2-positive breast cancer. The subjects will receive KN026 30 mg/kg IV + Docetaxel 75/m2 every 3 weeks for four cycles prior to surgery.

Accurate, Rapid and Inexpensive MRI Protocol for Breast Cancer Screening

The purpose of this study is to test an innovative MRI breast cancer screening method in women with mammographically dense breasts as well as other women with moderately increased cancer risk. MRI, combined with other methods of risk assessment, has potential to significantly improve sensitivity to cancer in dense breasts and detect cancer in all cases at a much earlier stage, with far fewer interval cancers than mammography. Previous tests of MRI sensitivity show that this screening could significantly increase the likelihood of detecting invasive cancers resulting in decreased mortality from breast cancer. Suspicious lesions will be defined by the clinical interpretation of the breast MRI images performed by the attending breast radiologists. Based on the radiologist determination that the MRI findings are suspicious (these findings include masses, non-mass enhancement and foci), suspicious lesions will be assigned a Bi-Rads code specifying whether additional work up or biopsy is necessary. These are Bi-Rads codes 0, 4 and 5. False positive diagnosis should be minimized as all attending physicians reading breast MRI at this institution are fellowship trained in breast imaging.

The objectives of this study are: 1) To design and implement the PaiNEd system for the evaluation and treatment based on Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) in cancer survivors with sequelae derived from medical treatments; 2) Study the effectiveness of the PaiNEd system integrated in a multimodal physical recovery program compared to traditional biomedical information. This project aims to first carry out the design and implementation of an e-health system for the evaluation and treatment of pain. A randomized controlled experimental study will be carried out in which 72 breast cancer survivors will be recruited and randomly assigned to three study groups.

TRIple Negative Breast Cancer Markers In Liquid Biopsies Using Artificial Intelligence

Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive of breast cancers and it is usually treated with chemotherapy even before surgery. In many cases, the chemotherapy completely "melts" the tumor and these patients do well. When the tumor is not eliminated by the chemotherapy, the patient receive more chemotherapy after surgery to decrease the chances of it coming back. Yet many of these patients don't need that extra chemotherapy and will do well in any case. One of the most exciting recent developments in cancer is the use of "liquid biopsies". It turns out that the tumor's DNA, RNA and proteins can be detected in small vesicles found in the patient's blood. Thanks to advances in Artificial Intelligence, there is now informatics tools to integrate many types of molecular information. Our industrial partner, MIMs, will apply novel informatics tools to generate a test using all the molecular information obtained from blood vesicles and tissue that will be able to find out early if tumor has spread outside of the breast, and how much tumor is left after surgery. The goal is hope to develop a multi-dimensional test for TNBC patients that can be used to decide how much treatment they need and if treatment given after surgery is working.

This is a Phase III, two-arm, randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled study in participants with HER2-positive primary breast cancer who have received preoperative chemotherapy and HER2-directed therapy, including trastuzumab followed by surgery, with a finding of residual invasive disease in the breast and/or axillary lymph nodes. As of June 4, 2024, this study is no longer accepting any newly screened participants.
