Filter by:1. Through research and analysis, the levels of upstream and downstream factors related to TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway and inflammatory response factor related factors in serum, blood cells, articular fluid, urine, tongue covering and discarded tissues after surgery of patients with LKD syndrome and PBS syndrome of knee osteoarthritis were obtained, and the syndrome characteristics were further obtained. 2. Through research and analysis, the index levels of multiple omics detection in serum, blood cells, joint fluid, urine, tongue coating and discarded tissues of patients with LKD syndrome and PBS syndrome of knee osteoarthritis were obtained, and the syndrome characteristics were further obtained. 3. The severity of syndrome was quantified by syndrome score scale and the correlation between the above results and the syndrome score of patients with knee osteoarthritis with LKD syndrome and PBS syndrome was studied in combination with imaging characteristics. 4. To establish a "disease and syndrome cell model" and test relevant indicators to support the above research. 5. Through the analysis of the above research results, the possible mechanism is analyzed to provide an objective basis for the biological basis of the syndrome and relevant evidence for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of knee osteoarthritis with traditional Chinese medicine.
To study the effect of acupoint application combined with ear acupoint seeding on the discomfort symptoms of nasal catheter in patients after esophageal cancer surgery
Obesity becomes a worldwide chronic health problem, including China. Meta-analyses showed in recent years anti-obesity effects of Chinese herbal therapy (CHT) in overweight and obese patients. However, there are still few observational studies on its effect in patients undergoing CHT more than 6 months, or on its safety. This is a mono-centric, prospective study conducted at Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Patients with body mass index ≥ 28 Kg/m2 and chartered by heat-dampness is consecutively recruited. All the patients will undergo an integrated SRXPY-based Obesity Wellness Intervention (lifestyle invention + XRXP granule). Patients will be instructed by Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) practitioner and nutritionist. They will be investigated every 3 months, until 2 years after enrollment. The study will test anti-obesity effect and safety of the integrated obesity wellness intervention, and test changes of appetite, health-related quality of life, bio markers as well.
Clinical epidemiological investigation and modern statistics will be used. Syndrome was quantified by TCM syndrome score scale. Metabonomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, xanthine oxidation method and thiobarbital method will be used to detect the relevant indicators in serum, urine and tongue coating, and "disease syndrome cell model" will be constructed to detect the relevant indicators. Objective to clarify the epigenetic basis, molecular biological regulation mechanism and core function characteristics of phgdh expression decline caused by PDR and SKYD of dyslipidemia, analyze the correlation between phgdh, serine metabolic pathway product concentration and oxidative stress level, and reveal the scientific connotation of the disease syndrome.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the safety and efficacy of PSORI-CM01 formula vs Gu Ben Hua Yu formula combined with Expanded Allogeneic AD-MSCs in patients with moderate to severe psoriasis. And it explores the expectations of patients for the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine combined with stem cells and their expectations to participate in this study. The trial would provide preliminary data for large sample clinical randomized controlled trials.
To explore the correlation between gene mutations of metastatic colorectal cancer and TCM syndrome types based on Second-generation sequencing technology.
The guiding role of parallel randomized controlled trials in clinical practice is limited due to the insufficiency of individual information. Our previous studies showed that Single case randomized controlled trials (referred to as N-of-1 trials) could reflect the individualized characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome differentiation with good feasibility, but the sensitivity was low. This study aims to compare the efficacy of treatment based on syndrome differentiation with controlled decoctions (placebo, and the method of strengthening the body resistance and removing phlegm) among patients with stable bronchiectasis through a series of N-of-1 trials (single-patient, double-blind, randomized, multiple crossover design), with the 7 point-likert scale of the most concerned symptoms as the main outcome. Hierarchical Bayesian statistical methods and some parameters and variables will be introduced, such as TCM syndrome type, potential residue effect of TCM, etc. The sensitivity and applicability of various mathematical models (Hierarchical Bayesian, paired t-test and Meta-analysis) for N-of-1 trials of TCM will be tested, for the purpose of improving the sensitivity and applicability of N-of-1 trials of TCM both on individual and group levels.
There is no study evaluating the clinical effect of traditional chinese medicine(TCM) in topical use on musculotendinous injury, nor is that investigating the effectiveness on bone fracture healing. We hypothesize that with aid of topical chinese herbal medicine in addition to oral analgesics can be more beneficial in treating post traumatic injury, launching early mobilization, and enhancing fracture healing process.
The teaching platform of the TCM daycare clinics for depression patients will provide a good clinical training environment for the trainees. They can learn how to take care of depression patients by the lectures and the clinical practice experiences in the daycare clinics. They can also learn a holistic approach, a patient-centered healthcare service. This teaching model will strengthen the clinical training of TCM and enhance the international competitiveness of TCM doctors.
Insomnia and sleep disorders are prominent health problems in modern society. High working pressure, fast pace of life, the use of electronic products and other reasons lead to the high incidence of insomnia and sleep disorders, which affect people's physical and mental health seriously, long-term insomnia will increase the risk of various health problems, and may even lead to malignant accidents. There are few effective methods to treat insomnia or sleep disorders, only part of the problem can be solved by sleeping pills and psychotherapy. However, drug therapy has side effects such as drowsiness on the next day, ataxia, anterograde amnesia and so on, and long-term application is addictive. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has certain characteristics and advantages in the treatment of insomnia, but there is lack of evidence in clinical research that meets the requirements of modern evidence-based medicine, to prove the exact efficacy and safety of TCM in the treatment of insomnia. In addition, the research shows that the internal biological clock cycle of normal human body is 24-hour, insomnia may be related to biological clock gene. In this study, the outpatients with insomnia were taken as the research object. To observe the efficacy and safety of TCM in the treatment of insomnia by recording the participants' baseline demographic data, questionnaire survey, and conducting hematology examination. At the same time, to know the TCM constitution type of insomnia patients, through questionnaire survey with "Classification and Determination of TCM constitution table" that published by China Association of Chinese Medicine. And to explore the correlation between insomnia and circadian rhythm of biological clock .
