Filter by:ESP is the deepest back muscle originating from the transverse processes of the vertebrae. Blocks applied to this region are effective for a longer time and in the broader area than those applied to superficial muscles. Recently, pulsed radiofrequency treatments have also been performed in myofascial pain, and successful results have been obtained. The investigators aim to investigate whether there is a difference between these two applications in terms of treatment efficacy.
A Randomized controlled trial will be conducted. Non-probability convnience sampling will be used to collect the data. Sample size of 42 subjects with age group between 18 to 40 years will be taken. Data will be collected by using tools Numeric Pain Rate Scale (NPRS) for pain, Neck Disability Index (NDI) for disability and SF-36 for Quality of life. An informed consent will be taken. A total of 20 subjects will be selected by following inclusion and exclusion criteria and will equally divided in to two groups by random number generator table. Both groups will come thrice per week for a total of 4 weeks.
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effects of pre and post-exercise yoga after eccentric exercise on delayed onset muscle soreness in healthy adults. The main question it aims to answer is whether there will be a difference in the effects of pre and post-exercise yoga in reducing delayed muscle soreness. The participants will be divided into two groups; group A and group B. Group A will perform single bout of yoga before the eccentric exercise and Group B will perform single bout of yoga after eccentric exercise.
An assessment of the effectiveness of Stellate Ganglion Block in alleviating symptoms of Long COVID-19.
This study evaluates the effects of short term palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) supplementation on functional responses (i.e. muscle soreness and performance parameters) to strenuous eccentric exercise, and investigateq the systemic and muscle molecular mechanisms through which PEA impacts on these functional responses.
The aim of the study is to assess whether soft tissue flossing therapy will alleviate eccentric muscle-destroying influences. Men aged 20-25 will be tested. Suddenly taking up activity in untrained people and performing the fatigue protocol is a heavy burden for the body, and its effects may have a negative impact on the body. The assessment of the processes taking place in the body under the influence of this type of physical activity with the use of soft tissue flossing will broaden the scope of knowledge about this therapeutic method and will allow assessing whether it has an impact on accelerating regeneration after intense physical exertion.
Rationale: Combining statin treatment and physical activity is very effective for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Statins are well-tolerated by most patients, but may cause statin-associated muscle symptoms (SAMS). Objective: To identify predictors for SAMS in statin users and to objectively assess physical activity levels and sedentary time between symptomatic and asymptomatic statin users.
The primary purpose of the study is to assess the muscle contractility and sensitivity of lumbar erector spinae, biceps femoris, and gluteus maximus short-term response to Tabata kettlebell swing protocol.
The effectiveness of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to reduce pain scores for patients with acute back pain in an ambulatory emergency department (ED) population will be examined in this dual-center, cluster randomized, controlled, open-label study.
In recent years, athletes have frequently utilized Kinesio tape (KT) to enhance their performance. Despite widespread use, data regarding its efficacy and mechanism of action is lacking among healthy endurance athletes. This study aims to determine the effect of KT application on acute-onset muscle soreness and the extensibility of the calf muscles in endurance athletes.
