NCT ID: NCT06186102 Recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Polyamine Treatment in Elderly Patients With Coronary Artery Disease

PolyCAD
Start date: January 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The present study is testing spermidine treatment in elderly patients with coronary artery disease. The study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-armed, parallel-group, single centre, clinical study.

NCT ID: NCT05958524 Recruiting - Monotherapy Clinical Trials

Analysis of Factors Influencing the Efficacy of Levamlodipine Benzoate and Its Population Pharmacodynamic Modeling

Start date: December 15, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

1. Preliminarily explore the correlation factors of differences in the efficacy of levamlodipine besylate in the treatment of hypertension. 2. Quantitatively analyze the influence of covariates such as patient demographic factors, personal history, combined medications, and biochemical indicators on the efficacy of levamlodipine besylate, and establish a population pharmacokinetic model of levamlodipine besylate, to achieve clinical Individualized treatment and rational drug use.

NCT ID: NCT05130385 Recruiting - Glaucoma Clinical Trials

High Resolution Optical Coherence Tomography

Start date: November 30, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Comparison of high-resolution optical coherence tomography (High-Res-OCT) to conventional imaging modalities for the diagnosis of eye diseases

NCT ID: NCT04830696 Recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

3D ECG for Detection of Cardiomyopathy

Start date: March 14, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

There is existing data in the literature that suggests an additional predictive value of three dimensional ECG with respect to the presence of electrical abnormalities and for an existing cardiac disease. Especially regarding patients who suffered from a myocardial infarction in the past (post MI patients), evidence has been provided for a potential association of 3D repolarisation abnormalities and incidence of sudden cardiac death (SCD). In addition, there is some vague evidence of so called 3D ECG and prediction of coronary artery disease. This 3D ECG device is using the technology of 3D ECG vector loops and is assessing the variability of these ECG vector loops in the 3-dimensional space. Based on these data, the parameters of 3D ECG are suggested to carry certain value to predict or to identify individuals already suffering from a cardiac disease or being at risk experiencing a cardiac event in the future. In this context we performed a preliminary study with 3D-ECG device in healthy volunteers evaluating the robustness of this method with respect to reproducibility, intra- and intra-observer variability which could be confirmed. We thus postulate that the 3D ECG technology might bear the potential to serve as a sufficient screening method for diagnosing cardiomyopathy in patients with an unknown heart failure etiology.

NCT ID: NCT04670809 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypertensive Emergency

Safety and Efficacy Study of Clevidipine Butyrate Injection in Hypertensive Emergencies

Start date: July 27, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy and safety of clevidipine for treating Hypertensive emergencies(defined as systolic blood pressure >180 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure >120 mmHg, accompanied by acute organ damage).

NCT ID: NCT04213963 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Prospective Study on Primary Aldosteronism in Resistant Hypertension

PrePARe
Start date: September 1, 2011
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Prevalence of primary aldosteronism (PA) in resistant hypertension is not clear. In addition, emerging evidence supports the role of elevated serum aldosterone in promoting cardiovascular disease, independently from high blood pressure (BP) levels, but current data on this issue are heterogeneous.

NCT ID: NCT03553810 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypertensive Heart Disease

Role of ARNi in Ventricular Remodeling in Hypertensive LVH

REVERSE-LVH
Start date: April 12, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In Singapore, hypertension is very common in the adult population. Hypertensive heart disease is a leading cause of heart failure and cardiovascular death. Current management relies primarily on achieving blood pressure targets. However, the optimal blood pressure goals are controversial and there are inherent difficulties in measuring blood pressure using external devices applied to peripheral arteries. As a result of (usually longstanding) hypertension, the heart thickens (i.e. hypertrophies) to maintain function. Ultimately, HF may occur due to long standing energy deficits, muscle injury/death and diffuse interstitial fibrosis (heart muscle scarring). In an ongoing study (REMODEL, ClinicalTrial.gov Identifier NCT02670031), we have been able to undertake preliminary analyses with respect to factors associated with the development of fibrosis. In this randomize controlled trial, we will be examining a novel therapy that has the potential to induce regression cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis.

NCT ID: NCT03524222 Recruiting - Asthma Clinical Trials

Home Hospital for Suddenly Ill Adults

Start date: January 18, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators propose a home hospital model of care that substitutes for treatment in an acute care hospital. Limited studies of the home hospital model have demonstrated that a sizeable proportion of acute care can be delivered in the home with equal quality and safety, reduced cost, and improved patient experience.

NCT ID: NCT02530853 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypertensive Disease

Acupuncture as a Complementary Treatment for Hypertension (ACT-HAS)

ACT-HAS
Start date: August 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized clinical trial with blinded, multi-center, involving the Federal University of in Rio de Janeiro(UFRJ), through the School of Nursing Anna Nery, as a proponent and research coordinator; and as a collaborative educational institutions, the Federal University of in Espirito Santo, represented by the Department of Nursing; and the Higher School of Sciences of the Santa Casa de Misericordia of Vitoria, developed by building doctorate thesis as a final product of the research.

NCT ID: NCT02128386 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypertension, Resistant to Conventional Therapy

Medication Adherence and "True" Resistance in Patients With Resistant Hypertension

Start date: February 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to estimate the proportion of patients with "true" resistance among patients referred to the Medical Outpatient Department of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin with the diagnosis "resistant hypertension". Moreover, data on medication adherence will be collected based on therapeutic drug monitoring and on the answers to validated questionnaires. Finally, efficacy, safety and costs of renal sympathetic denervation will be compared to an intensified drug treatment in an exploratory way.
