NCT ID: NCT02192333 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Survivorship Care in Reducing Symptoms in Young Adult Cancer Survivors

Start date: August 3, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized clinical trial studies survivorship care in reducing symptoms in young adult cancer survivors. Survivorship care programs that identify the needs of young adult cancer survivors and ways to support them through the years after treatment may help reduce symptoms, such as pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, depression, and distress, in young adult cancer survivors.

NCT ID: NCT02148159 Completed - Clinical trials for Malignant Neoplasm of Gastrointestinal Tract

Acupuncture for Unintentional Weight Loss and Anorexia With GI Cancer

Start date: October 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Patients with cancer often experience appetite loss and weight loss unintentionally. Rapid weight loss negatively impact on physical functioning, quality of life, and overall survival. Patients will be randomly assigned into two groups. An intervention with acupuncture may slow down or stop the progression of cancer-related anorexia and weight loss.

NCT ID: NCT02056015 Completed - Clinical trials for Imaging of Solid Gastrointestinal Tumors

A Phase I Study of MLN6907 in Patients With Metastatic Colorectal

Start date: June 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is a first-in-human (FIH), single-dose, open-label, phase 1 study designed to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), distribution, and radiation dosimetry of [68Ga]MLN6907 after a single intravenous (IV) administration. Patients with Metastatic Colorectal Carcinoma who are scheduled for resection of liver metastases as part of their treatment plan will be eligible for enrollment.

NCT ID: NCT01996306 Completed - Clinical trials for Colorectal Neoplasms

A Phase III Study of 2nd-line XELIRI ± Bevacizumab vs. FOLFIRI ± Bevacizumab in mCRC

AXEPT
Start date: December 2, 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this study is to determine the non-inferiority of overall survival XELIRI with or without Bevacizumab compared with FOLFIRI with or without Bevacizumab as Second-line therapy in Patient with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01982994 Completed - Clinical trials for Gastrointestinal Neoplasms

Intervention to Motivate Standing &Walking in Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgical Patients

Start date: October 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Observational research has linked physical activity with faster recovery, improved quality of life, and greater survival; however, little is known about the effects of physical activity in pre-operative, peri-operative, or post-operative treatment contexts and there is a need for interventions to improve patient outcomes across the cancer treatment continuum. Three propositions derived from basic research, epidemiological evidence, and clinical practice informed our intervention development efforts: (1) Patient outcomes will be enhanced by interventions that increase physical activity (i.e., standing, walking) across the cancer treatment continuum (i.e., pre-operative, peri-operative, post-operative). (2) Reducing sedentary behavior (i.e., seated or reclined activities involving minimal energy expenditure) will enhance patient outcomes both by increasing physical activity and by stimulating additional adaptive physiological responses to reduced sedentary time (responses which are independent of physical activity-induced responses). (3) Patients with gastrointestinal cancers often suffer functional limitations that limit their independence and their health behaviors are strongly influenced by the family environment so interventions that engage caregivers (e.g., spouses) will be more effective than those that target patients/survivors alone.

NCT ID: NCT01964430 Completed - Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Nab-paclitaxel and Gemcitabine vs Gemcitabine Alone as Adjuvant Therapy for Patients With Resected Pancreatic Cancer (the "Apact" Study)

apact
Start date: March 28, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare whether there is a delay or prevention of recurrence or death in participants with surgically removed pancreatic cancer who then take nab-Paclitaxel in combination with gemcitabine compared to those who take gemcitabine alone.

NCT ID: NCT01927965 Completed - Clinical trials for Advanced Gastrointestinal Tumors

Study of Minnelide™ in Patients With Advanced GI Tumors

Start date: August 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and the dose limiting toxicities (DLT) of Minnelide™ and to establish the dose of Minnelide™ recommended for future phase 2 protocol

NCT ID: NCT01916447 Completed - Clinical trials for Advanced Gastrointestinal Tumors

A Phase I Study of TAS-102 in Patients With Advanced Gastrointestinal Tumors.

Start date: September 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and determine the maximum tolerated dose of TAS-102 administered in combination with CPT-11 in patients with advanced gastrointestinal tumors.

NCT ID: NCT01832116 Completed - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Neoplasms

89Zr-MMOT PET Imaging in Pancreatic and Ovarian Cancer Patients

MMOT
Start date: March 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this multicenter imaging sub study is to evaluate the biodistribution and organ pharmacokinetics of 89Zr-MMOT0530A in patients with unresectable pancreatic or platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. MMOT0530A is a monoclonal antibody that targets an antigen overexpressed in pancreatic and ovarian cancer. Subsequent to imaging with 89Zr-MMOT0530A, patients will be treated with DMOT4039A in the DMO4993g protocol (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT01469793) after this study. DMOT4039A is an antibody-drug conjugate composed of the monoclonal antibody MMOT0530A and the mitotic agent monomethyl auristatin (MMAE). By imaging patients with the monoclonal antibody MMOT0530A before treatment, the correlation between tumor uptake of 89Zr-MMOT0530A and response to DMOT4039A therapy will be assessed.

NCT ID: NCT01816607 Completed - Rectal Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Start date: October 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to establish a reliable method for detection of rectal cancer patients with aggressive tumor at risk of metastatic disease and death by functional MRI.
