Application of IPC During Surgery to Prevent Venous Thrombosis in Gastrointestinal Surgery Patients.

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness of intraoperative intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) device usage in preventing lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery.The main question it aims to answer is provide a reference basis for determining the efficacy of IPC application during gastrointestinal surgery for preventing lower extremity DVT in patients. Participants are patients who require gastrointestinal surgery, specifically for the resection of gastrointestinal tumors. They will be divided into a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group will use an Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) device during surgery, while the control group will receive standard treatment. The objective is to observe whether the use of IPC during surgery can prevent the formation of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or lower the Risk of DVT.

Association Between Body Composition and Digestive System Cancer Survival

Investigators intend to utilize clinical data from the Department of Oncology at Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital to analyze changes in body composition in digestive system tumor patients before and after receiving anti-tumor drug treatment. Investigators aim to uncover the association between baseline body composition and overall/progression-free survival in patients with digestive system tumors. Additionally, Investigators plan to investigate the relationship between changes in body composition during anti-tumor drug treatment (chemotherapy and immunotherapy) and the prognosis of tumor patients.

Efficacy and Safety of SOX Regimen Combined With Camrelizumab as Neoadjuvant Treatment in Locally Advanced Gastric Cancer: a Phase II, Single-arm Study

This is a single-arm, phase II study of camrelizumab combined with SOX regimen in subjects with resectable locally advanced gastric cancer. The patients will receive camrelizumab ,S-1 and oxaliplatin given every 3 weeks for 3 cycles as neoadjuvant therapy. After the surgery, adjuvant therapy which includes camrelizumab and SOX regimen will begin.

Perioperative Telemonitoring to Optimize Cancer Care and Outcomes

This study aims to see whether an at-home monitoring program that collects health, symptoms, and quality of life data in real-time can be included as part of the care of surgery patients in order to provide better recovery. Patient-generated health data (weight, temperature, oxygen level, heart rate, blood pressure, daily steps, symptoms, quality of life) using at-home monitoring devices (thermometer, a pulse oximeter, a digital scale and a Vivofit 4 watch) and smart device applications are used more and more to measure value and quality in cancer care. However, measuring patient-generated health data is not currently part of standard care following cancer surgery. An at-home monitoring program may improve the care of patients after hospital discharge from surgery and may help reduce complications by identifying issues early.

Oral Cryotherapy Plus Acupressure and Acupuncture Versus Oral Cryotherapy for Decreasing Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy From Oxaliplatin-Based Chemotherapy in Patients With Gastrointestinal Cancer

This phase II trial investigates how well oral cryotherapy plus acupressure and acupuncture compared with oral cryotherapy alone work in decreasing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with gastrointestinal cancer who are receiving oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy. Acupressure is the application of pressure or localized massage to specific sites on the body to control symptoms such as pain or nausea. Acupuncture is the technique of inserting thin needles through the skin at specific points on the body to control pain and other symptoms. Cryotherapy uses cold temperature such as oral ice chips to prevent abnormally increased pain sensation. Giving oral cryotherapy with acupressure and acupuncture may work better in decreasing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy from oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy in patients with gastrointestinal cancer compared to oral cryotherapy alone.
