There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
As monotherapy for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) begins to fail additional therapies are introduced. Although co-administration of sitaxsentan and sildenafil is well tolerated the controlled safety/efficacy database of the combination is limited.
This protocol is for subjects with pulmonary arterial hypertension and is the first of 3 studies forming the Sitaxsentan efficacy and safety trial with Randomized Prospective Assessment of Adding Sildenafil (SR-PAAS) program.
To assess comparative radiographic efficacy, clinical efficacy and safety of etanercept (ETN) + methotrexate (MTX) with usual disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) treatment in subjects with moderate RA who were treated with MTX monotherapy, but continue to have moderate disease activity.
A two-stage prospective observational cohort study in scleroderma patients to evaluate screening tests and the incidence of pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary hypertension
The study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of sunitinib (Arm A), given at 37.5 mg orally once daily, compared to sorafenib (Arm B), given orally at 400 mg twice daily, in patients with inoperable liver cancer. A total number of 1200 patients will be enrolled, 600 on Arm A and 600 on Arm B. Study treatment may be adjusted based on patient tolerance. and will be given until disease progression, occurrence of unacceptable toxicity, or other withdrawal criteria are met. After discontinuation of study treatment, patients will be followed up in order to collect information on further antineoplastic therapy and survival.
The purpose of this study is to determine if adding ASA404 to standard chemotherapy makes the cancer treatment more effective in patients with advanced lung cancer.
Enthuse M0 is a large phase III clinical trial studying the efficacy of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) in hormone resistant prostate cancer (HRPC). This clinical trial will test if the Endothelin A Receptor Antagonist ZD4054 (Zibotentan) can improve progression-free survival and overall survival against a background of existing prostate cancer treatments. ZD4054 (Zibotentan) is a new type of agent, which is thought to slow tumour growth and spread by blocking Endothelin receptor activity. This trial will look at the effects of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) in hormone resistant prostate cancer (HRPC) patients who have had rising PSA after surgical or medical castration but have no evidence of metastases. All patients participating in this clinical trial will receive existing prostate cancer treatments in addition to trial therapy. Half the patients will receive ZD4054 (Zibotentan) , and half the patients will receive placebo in addition to standard prostate cancer therapy. By participating in this trial there is a 50% chance that patients will receive an agent that may slow the progression of the tumour. No patients will be deprived of standard prostate cancer therapy.
A study to assess treatment with a new formulation of recombinant factor VIII reconstituted with liposomes (BAY79-4980) to evaluate whether a once-a-week treatment is safe and can prevent bleeds in subjects with severe haemophilia A.
The purpose of this clinical research study is to find out whether a combination of entecavir (ETV) plus tenofovir (TNF) works better against Hepatitis B virus than adefovir (ADV) added to continuing lamivudine (LVD) therapy in patients whose Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is resistant against lamivudine. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.
Determine whether the addition of CP- 751,871 in combination with paclitaxel plus carboplatin prolongs survival in patients with locally advanced (Stage IIIB with pleural effusion) or metastatic (Stage IV or recurrent) NSCLC of non adenocarcinoma histology.
