There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
It is aimed to investigate the effects of telerehabilitation-based structured exercise on muscle strength, balance, performance, body image, prosthesis adaptation, activity limitation, prosthesis use satisfaction, and quality of life in individuals with unilateral below-knee amputation. Study hypothesis: In individuals with transtibial amputation, telerehabilitation-based structured exercise has an effect on muscle strength, balance, performance, body image, prosthesis adaptation, activity limitation, prosthesis use satisfaction, and quality of life. Forty individuals with a unilateral transtibial amputation will be included in the study. Participants will be divided into two groups as telerehabilitation and control groups with equal sample sizes by the randomization method. All participants will undergo a 6-week exercise program. A structured exercise program supported by telerehabilitation will be applied to the telerehabilitation group 3 days a week, and a home exercise program will be applied on the remaining days of the week. An only a home exercise program will be applied to the control group. Participants will be evaluated at the beginning and end of the study.
Sema, which means "to listen/hear" in lexical meaning, is a special physical activity performed in the form of rotating in different positions rhythmically with music.During the sema activity, although it is similar to dance therapy due to the cyclical movements it contains, it can also be evaluated as a physical activity. With Sema music therapy accompanied by musical melodies, it is similar to meditation, as the ties with the world are cut off and the attempt is made to reach divine love. Various studies have shown that physical activity, music therapy, dance therapy, and meditation have positive effects on depression and anxiety in the literature. However, there is no scientific study in the literature investigating the effects of Sema activity, which includes all these approaches, on depression, anxiety and physical activity. In order to support the literature in this sense, this study was planned to examine the effects of Sema activity on physical activity level, depression and anxiety. Individuals between the ages of 18-60 who are registered in Konya Mevlana Cultural Center who have been doing Sema for at least 1 year will be included in the study. Participants who agree to participate in the study will be asked to fill in the online Informed Volunteer Form, Demographic Information Form, Beck Anxiete Scale, Beck Depression Scale and International Physical Activity Scale - Short Form. The data will be analyzed statistically with SPSS version 23.0.
During COVID-19 pandemic, in the lockdown period, reduced physical activity and obesity were reported in children. In Turkey, face to face education was ceased after March 16, till the end of the previous academic year and education was tried to be substituted remotely. A temporary lockdown was implemented for children and young people under the age of 20, between April 3 and June 5 2020. At 45 days following the lockdown of children, 72% of the parents with children aged 6-13 years stated that their screen time had increased to a mean of 6.4 hours per day. Engaging more time in physical activity, and less in sedentary and leisure screen time was found to be associated with less anxiety during pandemic. Before 2020-2021 academic year, government and educators increased their preparedness for the second and third waves and improved the technological infrastructure. Depending on grades, preferences of the family, primary education continued remotely between November 2020 and July 2021. The aim of this study is to investigate whether musculoskeletal complaints are increased in school-age children during the pandemics and whether there is a relationship between the decreased level of physical activity, increased screen time, poor posture and musculoskeletal complaints.
The protection of the body integrity of the newborn is very important in terms of the development of physical and mental health and social health. Failure to protect the skin integrity of newborns and not paying attention to the clinical findings on the skin may cause morbidity/mortality. Attitudes of nurses can affect the evaluation of newborn skin negatively and/or positively. It was determined as the development of an attitude scale for newborn nurses to evaluate newborn skin and examining the factors affecting their attitudes. In line with this purpose, an attitude scale for newborn nurses regarding the evaluation of newborn skin will be developed and nurses' attitude levels, sociodemographic variables that are related to attitude and cause significant difference can be determined.
Cerebral palsy develops due to brain damage before, during and after birth. Motor control is impaired in individuals with cerebral palsy. Disturbances occur in muscle tone, mobility and body posture. There is no definitive treatment for cerebral palsy, but improvement in functions can be achieved with physiotherapy. Because of the covid-19 pandemic precautions, activity level has been decreasing in children with cerebral palsy, as in adults. Children experience physical, social and psychological problems caused by physical inactivity. Exercises and games that can be done comfortably in the house will positively affect the physical development of children and enable them to spend productive time by getting away from excessive technology, internet and smart phone usage, excessive screen time. The aim of this project; To ensure that children with cerebral palsy who need intense exercise and activity and who experience physical inactivity due to COVID-19 can exercise with telerehabilitation and to determine the effect of telerehabilitation on the quality of life, anxiety and depression levels of children with cerebral palsy and their caregivers. It will be compared to a control group that did not accept telerehabilitation but was recommended to exercise at home.
Covid-19 outbreak has caused death of millions of people because of not only the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection itself but also infection dependent complications. Abnormalities in thrombotic events leads to some of these complications which eventually result in emboli. The endothelial damage caused by the virus interacting with ACE2 on the host cells leads to the activation of coagulation cascade. Accumulation of byproducts of the cascade might have some roles in embolism inducing risk of organ damage, other life-threatening problems, and even death. To enlighten the factors triggering embolism, the investigators have focused on genetic changes such as polymorphisms and mutations in certain genes in DNA samples coming from intensive care unit (ICU) patients.
Although anamnesis and physical examination remain the place in the evaluation of patients today; laboratory values, imaging methods and pathology results have come to the fore in the decision-making of surgery for patients. As a result of all other criteria, a follow-up decision can be changed in a patient with a single fine needle aspiration biopsy result, or despite all the examinations the investigators have, a clear result cannot be achieved, and patient management may be disrupted. A holistic approach to thyroid gland pathologies is planned thanks to the scoring system that will be created in this study.
During the pandemic, it is important for people who are isolated in their homes to stay inactive and exercise exercises in order to prevent their complaints from increasing due to inactivity. Individuals with multiple sclerosis are outpatient or inpatient with home exercise programs besides the rehabilitation practices. They are being monitored. It has been reported the rehabilitation of individuals is that they need to comply with their home exercise programs in order to contribute. However, very limited research studies suggest that any method can be used as home exercise has examined whether it has increased compliance with the program. However, examining the factors affecting the compliance of individuals with Multiple sclerosis to the home exercise program. The study was not found either. Exercise through tele-rehabilitation in individuals with multiple sclerosis in previous studies where their education contributed to the physical performance of patients shown. However, these studies are based on individual neurorehabilitation models. In the literature, the use of video-based exercise training in MS patients a study showing increased performance as well as increased participation in the home program available. However, in this study, a special program was applied to the individual and it is not a respiration-based program. There is no research on web-based group activity training in the field.
An experimental study examining wound healing in 5 different groups on 30 rats.
The aim of this experimental study is to evaluate the effect of nurse navigation in the management of symptoms associated with head and neck radiotherapy. All head and neck cancer patients who meet the study criteria of the Radiation Oncology Clinic of Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital will be included in the study. According to the previously prepared randomization list, the study group consisted of a total of 88 people, 41 in the experimental group and 47 in the control group. While the standard treatment approaches of the hospital are applied to all patients, a nursing navigation program will be applied in addition to the patients in the experimental group.Quality of life and toxicity criteria will be applied to all patients as measurement tools.
