There are about 3133 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Romania. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of the multicentric and interdisciplinary IMAGene project is to pursue early diagnosis for Pancreatic Cancers in high-risk asymptomatic subject groups, by developing and validating a comprehensive cancer risk prediction algorithm (CRPA) as a clinical support tool to calculate a personalized risk profile. The study is a longitudinal, non-randomized exploratory clinical study. A total of 170 asymptomatic first-degree relatives of PC patients.
The study is designed as a split-mouth randomised controlled study. This means within the mouth of one patient one tooth with an initial lesion is treated and coated with the Experimental Remineralization product whereas another comparable tooth with an initial lesion is left untreated. Patients are included upon meeting the inclusion criteria as defined for this clinical trial. In the test group, a remineralization of the incipient carious lesion is expected. The patients are recalled after 1 day (optional), 4 weeks, 4 months and finally after 1 year to evaluate the untreated and treated lesion.
This Phase 3 study is a randomized, observer-blind study of aQIV (an MF59-adjuvanted quadrivalent influenza vaccine) compared with a non-adjuvanted quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIV) in adults ≥65 years of age. The aim of the study is to evaluate aQIV compared with QIV in the prevention of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)-confirmed influenza A and/or B in subjects ≥65 years of age.
In Romania, the diseases of the circulatory system account for 59.3% of deaths, representing the main cause of morbidity and mortality. Barriers of current pharmacological treatments materialized in side effects and limited actions on risk factors increase the necessity of finding more effective, multi-target and less toxic therapeutic strategies. Considering the well-known benefits, natural compounds represent a very important source for drug candidates. The latest in vitro and in vivo studies on Aronia melanocarpa (Michx.) Elliott have highlighted its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferative, anti-atherosclerotic, hypotensive, antiplatelet, lipid and glucose reduction properties, making it an excellent candidate for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. The aim of this study is to comprehensive evaluate (in vivo) the Aronia melanocarpa bio juice, obtained from Romania on blood pressure levels and endothelial damage.
This study is comparing 200 milligrams (mg) of filgotinib a day with a placebo to see if filgotinib helps to treat Axial Spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and is safe to use. The study will also be comparing 200 mg with 100 mg filgotinib a day to see if the lower dose also helps to treat axSpA.
The coprimary objectives of the study are to: - evaluate the efficacy of rocatinlimab in combination with topical corticosteroid and/or topical calcineurin inhibitor (TCS/TCI), compared with placebo in combination with TCS/TCI at Week 24, assessed using Validated Investigator's Global Assessment for Atopic Dermatitis (vIGA-AD™). - evaluate the efficacy of rocatinlimab, in combination with TCS/TCI, compared with placebo in combination with TCS/TCI at Week 24, assessed using Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI).
This study is to assess the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of SC MK-3475A vs intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab, administered with chemotherapy in first line treatment of adult participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The primary hypotheses of this study are MK-3475A subcutaneous (SC) is noninferior to pembrolizumab IV with respect to PK parameters.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of TV-44749 in adult participants with schizophrenia. A key secondary objective is to further evaluate the efficacy of TV-44749 based on additional parameters in adult participants with schizophrenia. A secondary objective is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of TV-44749 in adult participants with schizophrenia Another secondary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of TV-44749 from baseline to endpoint in Period 1 in adult participants with schizophrenia. Total study duration is up to 61 weeks, and treatment duration is up to 56 weeks, with weekly visits during the first 8 weeks and then monthly in-clinic visits with weekly calls during the remainder of the treatment period.
The objective of this study is to evaluate a group of patients with chronic kidney disease in stages 3-5 by conventional 2D echocardiography, tissue Doppler techniques and speckle tracking - LV GLS and determine the correlation of ultrasound parameters with mortality. Additionally, fibrosis-related biomarkers will be studied in this population.
The co-primary objectives of the study are to: - Evaluate the efficacy of rocatinlimab compared with placebo at Week 24, assessed using Validated Investigator's Global Assessment for Atopic Dermatitis (vIGA-AD). - Evaluate the efficacy of rocatinlimab compared with placebo at Week 24, assessed using Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI).
