Randomized Evaluation of Beta Blocker and ACEI/ARB Treatment in MINOCA Patients - MINOCA-BAT

Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries" (MINOCA) occurs in 5-10% of all patients with AMI. There are neither any randomized clinical trials in MINOCA patients evaluating effects of secondary preventive treatments proven beneficial in patients with classic AMI, nor any treatment guidelines. The primary objective of this multi-national, multi-center pragmatic randomized clinical trial is to determine whether oral beta-blockade compared to no oral beta-blockade, and whether Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors (ACEI/ Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARB) compared to no ACEI/ARB, reduce the composite endpoint of death of any cause and readmission because of AMI, ischemic stroke or heart failure in patients discharged with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary artery disease (MINOCA) and with no clinical signs of heart failure and with left ventricular (LV) systolic ejection fraction ≥40%.

Gaming and Training Combined to Help Adolescents Get More Physically Active

The purpose of this study is to investigate if playing a newly developed videogame that requires physical activity (e.g. exergame), leads to increased physical activity and health benefits in children and adolescents who do not regularly participate in endurance training. Health benefits will be expressed in physical fitness (maximal oxygen consumption), blood markers of a healthy heart, body composition and objectively measured physical activity. Gaming frequency of the participants will be registered throughout the 24 week intervention period.

In this study, the investigators will investigate toxicity in patients treated with a Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor and radiotherapy. Patients with advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) can be included when treatment with a PD-1 inhibitor is indicated according to national guidelines. Included patients will receive stereotactic radiotherapy to one or two tumour lesion(s) in addition to the PD-1 inhibitor, and toxicity is the primary endpoint.

Immediate Parent -Infant Skin-to-Skin Study (IPISTOSS)

The World Health Organization recommend all stable low birth weight neonates to have Skin-to-skin-Contact (SSC) after birth. Intermittent SSC is used in Sweden in neonatal units. Observations indicate that SSC makes neonates feel good. However, there is limited research done on SSC treatment on neonates born prior to week 33. The aim of this study is to investigate whether Skin-to-skin-Contact (SSC) leads to an improved physiological stabilization, altered epigenetic profile and improved longterm psychomotor outcome in neonates born in gestation age between week 28+0 - 32+6. This is a parallel, two-arm, multicentre, randomized controlled superiority trial. The two arms to be compared are a) immediate SSC with one parent/caregiver continous during the first 6 hours after birth and as much as possible during the first 72 hours, and b) conventional method of care during the same time.

Primary Objective: To demonstrate that efpeglenatide 4 and 6 mg was noninferior to placebo on 3-point major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) participants at high cardiovascular (CV) risk. Secondary Objectives: To demonstrate that efpeglenatide 4 and 6 mg was superior to placebo in T2DM participants with high CV risk on the following parameters: - 3-point MACE. - Expanded CV outcome. - Composite outcome of new or worsening nephropathy. To assess the safety and tolerability of efpeglenatide 4 and 6 mg, both added to standard of care in T2DM participants at high CV risk.

Can Time-lapse Parameters be Used to Predict Pregnancy of Human Embryos?

All patients starting an IVF-treatment at the clinics, and meeting the inclusion criteria, will be offered to participate in the study. Randomization will be performed on day 5 and the patients will be allocated into either morphology only group or time-lapse group. Embryos will be cultured to day five according to the clinics own routines. All embryos in both groups will be cultured using time-lapse incubation. In the control group the embryo selection will be based only on traditional morphological evaluation and in the treatment group a time-lapse selection model (KID Score day 5) will be used to select the embryo.

Androgen Deprivation Therapy Muscle Protein Metabolism and Blood Glucose

Prostate cancer (PCa) patients receiving androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) (e.g., Zoladex), experience troublesome side effects during and after treatment (e.g., loss of lean body mass (LBM) and increased fat mass). Although the negative effects of ADT on muscle mass are well documented, the cellular effects of ADT on muscle tissue are still largely unknown, and studies investigating the mechanisms are highly warranted. Furthermore, understanding the cellular mechanisms through which ADT negatively influences muscle mass and glucose metabolism is important so that appropriate measures can be taken to counteract muscle wasting and comorbidities during ADT. Thus, PCa patients on ADT (Zoladex), along with non-ADT treated PCa patients serving as controls, will be invited to participate in this study, that aims to investigate the influence of ADT on the basal muscle protein turnover, as well as the responses to strength training. Secondary aims are to investigate between-group differences in blood glucose and insulin responses following a meal).
