There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The aim of the present study will be to evaluate whether fetal cardiac remodeling is already present at the moment of the diagnosis of gestational diabetes (GD) in comparison with fetuses of healthy pregnant women.
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the safety and efficacy of tirzepatide compared to placebo in children or teenagers with type 2 diabetes taking metformin, or basal insulin, or both. The overall study will last about 60 weeks with up to 14 clinic visits and 6 phone visits. Clinic visits will include blood sample collection, physical exam and questionnaire.
This a multicenter, Phase 2b, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to provide data on efficacy and safety of LY3561774 administered subcutaneously at various doses in participants with mixed dyslipidemia and on a stable dose of a statin.
Study RIN-PF-303 is a multinational study designed to evaluate the superiority of inhaled treprostinil against placebo for the change in absolute forced vital capacity (FVC) from baseline to Week 52.
This is a specimen collection study intended to generate a biological specimen repository of samples from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) naïve adults and adolescents ≥12 years old who will receive locally authorized or licensed COVID-19 vaccines. Approximately 1,000 participants will be enrolled. Plasma and peripheral blood mononuclear cell samples will be obtained either by venipuncture, or by leukapheresis. Serum, RNA, and DNA samples will be obtained by venipuncture. Specimens for mucosal antibody assessments will be collected by nasal swabbing. Biological specimens will be collected from study participants at Baseline prior to the COVID-19 vaccine dose and at timepoints aligned with the study participant's vaccination schedule for a period of up to 1 year following receipt of the initial COVID-19 vaccination.
This is a randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind study to assess the efficacy and safety of Atuliflapon administered once daily over a 12-week treatment period to adult participants with moderate to severe uncontrolled asthma.
This study is open to adults with head and neck cancer or liver cancer. This is a study for people for whom previous treatment was not successful or no standard treatment exists. The purpose of this study is to find out whether combining different medicines make tumours shrink in people with head and neck cancer or liver cancer. The tested medicines in this study are antibodies that act in different ways against cancer. BI 765063 and ezabenlimab may help the immune system fight cancer (checkpoint inhibitors). Cetuximab blocks growth signals and may prevent the tumour from growing. BI 836880 blocks the formation of new blood vessels that the tumour needs to grow. All participants get BI 765063 and ezabenlimab. One group gets no additional medicine. The other groups get either BI 836880, cetuximab, or chemotherapy. BI 765063, ezabenlimab, and BI 836880 are given as infusions into veins every 3 weeks. Cetuximab is given as an infusion every 1 or 2 weeks. Participants can stay in the study as long as they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it. The doctors monitor the size of the tumour. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
Rheumatic diseases (RD) are an important group of different clinical entities and specific diseases that affect a significant proportion of the world population. In Mexico, the RD have a relevant representation in the adult population. Dignity is a construct characterized by the representation of the self, of the self from others' point of view, and of the interaction of the individual with the environment and social context. Living with a chronic illness can threaten experiences of dignity for the sick person and their families. Various studies have demonstrated the direct impact of the disease on dignity in terms of physical and psychological symptoms and loss of function. Some efforts have been made to operationalize the concept of perceived dignity in the context of chronic diseases The perceived dignity of patients and the distress related to the feeling of loss of dignity (DRFLD) are outcomes that the patient can report and that the doctors can evaluate to be incorporated into the considerations of comprehensive care. Both outcomes are closely related, perceived dignity refers to a complex phenomenon, while distress related to the feeling of loss of dignity identifies those patients with a perceived dignity compromise of such magnitude that it generates anguish.
A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, multi-site, clinical trial to confirm the efficacy and safety of repeated injections of RTX-GRT7039 versus placebo in patients who have pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee despite standard of care.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a high incidence disease in Mexico and is associated with the development of chronic degenerative complications such as diabetic neuropathy. The latter manifests itself as a set of disorders that occur as a consequence of a chronic hyperglycemic state that can induce oxidative stress and inflammation, resulting in damage to the autonomic and peripheral nervous system. In Mexico, it has been reported that this complication usually occurs between 29% and 90% of patients with diabetes. Cocoa is a food with a high content of flavonoids, which are phenolic compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Additionally, its consumption has been associated with a decrease in hyperglycemia and insulin resistance, improvement in mitochondrial function, and, based on the above, an effect on diabetic complications has been suggested; This has been demonstrated in in vivo and in vitro models, but not in the human population. Once the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy have started, palliative treatments are prescribed, and to date there are no pharmacological compounds that have been shown to reverse the consequences of diabetic peripheral and autonomic neuropathy. Additionally, clinical trials of compounds with antioxidant properties have only performed subjective evaluations based on questionnaires on the perception of the improvement of diabetic neuropathy and some biochemical markers or nerve conduction tests, however, the results shown have not been conclusive. This is why a double-blind, randomized controlled clinical trial is proposed, with the objective of evaluating the effect of cocoa supplementation in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and peripheral and autonomic diabetic neuropathy on a) the biochemical profile, which includes the evaluation of the glycemic and lipid profile, quantification of pro-inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress markers; b) the clinical profile through the application of standardized questionnaires, anthropometric measurements and blood pressure, and c) somatosensory processing through the paired pulse H reflex test. The hypothesis of this study is that cocoa supplementation will have a beneficial effect on the biochemical and clinical profile and somatosensory processing of peripheral and autonomic diabetic neuropathy.
