There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The main objective of our study is to evaluate the effect of eye drops with antioxidants on mild to moderate dry eye symptoms in patients with diabetic retinopathy, evaluating the levels of inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress in the tear film. The researchers intend to include 78 patients, divided into three intervention groups, who will be randomly assigned an eye drop with antioxidants, where the patient must apply one drop in each eye for 1 month. In the study, the characteristics of the surface of the eye will be evaluated and tear samples will be taken from each eye, before and after the intervention with the eye drops. Subsequently, the clinical and sample results will be evaluated to compare the effects between them.
This study was carried out in the Clinical and Analytical Unit of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, with the aim of comparing the bioavailability (Cmax, AUC) of an oral formulation containing ibuprofen 400 mg/ Acetaminophen 1000 mg in combination with the two oral formulations ibuprofen 400 mg or Acetaminophen 1000 mg administered as a single dose, in healthy subjects under fasting conditions
This study was carried out in the Clinical and Analytical Unit of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, in order to compare the bioavailability (Cmax, AUC) of an oral formulation containing Ibuprofen 100 mg/Acetaminophen 125 mg in combination with the two oral formulations Ibuprofen 100 mg or Acetaminophen 125 mg administered as a single dose, in healthy subjects under fasting conditions.
The prevalence of obesity in Mexico is 35.4%, and it is considered a risk factor for the development of diabetes, systemic arterial hypertension and dyslipidemia. Obesity due to the increased distribution and growth of adipose tissue creates a pro-inflammatory state induced by molecules secreted by the adipocytes themselves. Netrin-1 is a cell migration protein, which directs the recruitment, migration and entrapment of macrophages in different tissues, within adipose tissue the entrapment of macrophages induces the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which increase the secretion of pro-inflammatory adipokines. It has been found in high concentration in patients with obesity, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Thymol is a phytopharmaceutical derived from oregano oil that has shown powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects through the stimulation of PPAR-gamma, adiponectin and inhibition of the NF-κB pathway mediated by the JNK pathway, pathways in which netrin-1 is involved in macrophage entrapment and recruitment.
Collection of clinical and genetic data to help identify individuals that carry genetic variants of known importance in Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)
This study was a randomized, double-blind controlled protocol in children overweight aged 6-11 years. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of consuming fermented milk products containing Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota (LcS), as a probiotic enriched with prebiotic fructans from A. salmiana or inulin-like standard commercial prebiotic to improve the gut microbiota modulation. After providing detailed information, written informed consent was obtained from parents and written and oral assent from participants before the initial test day. Children were eligible for inclusion in the trial if they were overweight according to the World Health Organization (≥85th body mass index (BMI) percentile for overweight). The trial took place in three full-time elementary schools in San Luis Potosí, México, and the screening of the prospective participants took place up to 1 week prior to the randomization. Children were evaluated over a 6-week intervention period receiving different fermented milk products
This was a non-experimental, descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional study, for which the CHERRIES checklist was used to report the study in order to improve the quality of the report of such designs. The open-ended survey was voluntary, consisted of 18 items and four sections, the items were not randomized and the survey was estimated to last approximately five minutes.
This is a parallel, Phase 2, global, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging, four-arms study for treatment. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of add-on therapy with amlitelimab in adult participants with moderate-to-severe asthma. Study details include: - The study duration (per participant) will be up to approximately 76 weeks for participants not going into LTS study and will be up to approximately 64 weeks for participants going into LTS study. - The randomized treatment duration will be up to approximately 60 weeks. - The scheduled number of visits will be 13.
The GARDENIA registry will collect real-world clinical data on the anticoagulant strategies in patients with AF at elevated risk of stroke but also elevated risk of bleeding.
This is a Phase IIIb, multinational, multicenter, randomized, open-label study to evaluate patient preference of the fixed-dose combination of pertuzumab and trastuzumab for subcutaneous use (PH FDC SC) administration in the home setting compared with the hospital setting during the cross-over period of adjuvant treatment in participants with early or locally advanced/inflammatory human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive (HER2+) breast cancer.
