There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The investigators want to compare the global response rate of patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) after six months of treatment with 5-azacitidine on two different doses. First group of 50 mg/m2 for 10 days each 28 days versus 75 mg/m2 for 7 days on 28 days cycles.
Carfilzomib in combination with lenalidomide, daratumumab and dexamethasone (KRDd) can induce profound clinical responses. The investigators want to observe the effectiveness of the quadruple therapy of carfilzomib, lenalidomide, daratumumab and dexamethasone on patients receiving 8 cycles of KRDd with autologous stem cell transplantation versus patients with 8 cycles of KRDd without autologous stem cell transplantation.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most important neurodegenerative disease that affects about 2% of the population over 60 years of age. About 40% of the Mexican population with PD suffer from sleep disorders, which has been linked to a deregulation of the circadian cycle and therefore of the clock genes. Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland that regulates the sleep-wake cycle, at pharmacological doses, it is used to decrease sleep disorders; it is suggested that is used could also normalize the levels of the clock genes expression. In rats with PD, a decrease in clock genes levels has been observed, which are restored by administering melatonin. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of melatonin on the expression of the PER1 and BMAL1 clock genes in patients with PD during 12 months. A controlled, double-blind, randomized clinical trial will be carried out in patients with a diagnosis of PD. A survey will be applied in order to know the course of the disease and two more tests to rule out some sleep disorder, at the beginning of the study, at the 6th month and at the 12th month. A blood sample (approximately 15 ml) will be taken every 3 months for a year. By random assignment, the participant will be given Melatonin or placebo, which should be taken every day in the morning and evening after meals for one year.
This study is for participants with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer that has spread or has reoccurred after failure of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy
This randomized, multicenter, double-blind (DB), placebo controlled, phase 2 study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of IgPro10. The DB Treatment Period will be followed by a 24-week Open-label (OL) Treatment Period. Eligible subjects will be randomized at Baseline in a 2:1 ratio of treatment IgPro10 or placebo in the DB Treatment Period. All subjects who enter OL Treatment Period will receive IgPro10.
Gestational diabetes, occurs during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, with no prior history of diabetes; this entity can be resolved at the end of pregnancy. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body, It plays an essential role in the regulation of insulin metabolism, in the functions of adenosine triphosphate. In Mexico, the prevalence of hypomagnesemia is 36.3% for women. Findings suggesting that magnesium supplementation may be a beneficial indication in metabolic glucose disorders. The hypothesis of this study is: that Magnesium lactate administration is safe and reduces the incidence of gestational diabetes.
Randomized, controlled, double blind clinical trial. Adult patients admitted to the ICU of the Hospital Español de México with a diagnosis of septic shock will be included. Patients will be randomized to one of the study groups: Intervention Group: Vitamin C 6 grams in 250 ml of 0.9% saline solution every 24 hours, in continuous infusion for 72 hours. Placebo Group: 0.9% saline solution 250 ml every 24 hours, in continuous infusion for 72 hours.
This is a national, single arm, phase II trial in patients with diagnosis of unresectable or advanced malignant pleural mesothelioma who experienced progression after platinum-based chemotherapy.
The primary goal of this study is to assess the impact of an innovative strategy to prevent undernutrition and obesity in early childhood in children 0-24 months in Mexico. This study is designed to evaluate the impact of promoting adequate infant an young child feeding practices and the use of SQ-LNS (Small Quantity Lipid-Based Nutrient Supplements) on the nutritional status of infants and young children. The study will be conducted in peri-urban areas of Tepic, Nayarit in Mexico in conjunction with the Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gómez and the Nayarit Secretariat of Health.
This study will investigate the bioavailability in fasting post-menopausal women of 2 film-coated tablet formulations containing 1.5 milligrams (mg) of estradiol and 2.5 mg of nomegestrol acetate. The study will be performed at a single site. Participants will take a single oral dose of the test product and reference product in 2 periods and 2 sequences (either test after reference or reference after test). There will be a washout of at least 21 days between each study period.
