There are about 1183 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Indonesia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is a prospective observational study that compares the anticoagulant therapy decision time among moderate and severe COVID-19 patients whose coagulation profiles were tested with thromboelastography (TEG) to those with a standard coagulation profile laboratory examination.
This study is a prospective study, randomized, using control, open-label, single-center to evaluate the efficacy and safety of EASYEF® in acute wound (split-thickness skin graft donor site). A total of 10 subjects are randomly allocated. Subjects who meet the final inclusion and exclusion criteria are randomized to the test cohorts in a ratio of 1:1:1.
High calorie formula (Oral Nutrition Supplement/ONS) are products used for oral nutrition support with the aim to increase the nutritional intake. they are a nutrition treatment option children with limited intake. ONS are typically used in addition to a normal diet, when diet alone is insufficient to meet daily nutritional requirement due to infection or others. ONS should be treated like medication, ensure they are labelled with the patient's name and provided at the prescribed time. It is well established that nutritional deficiency or inadequate can impair immune function. Growing evidence suggest that for certain conditions, the nutrient needs will be increased, so it is needed to provide the nutrient intake above currently recommended levels, in order to help optimizing the immune function, including improving the defense function and thus resistance to infection while maintaining tolerance. Purposes: 1. to analyze the effect of high calorie formula on IGF-1 levels in children with failure to thrive 2. to analyze the effect of high calorie formula on total lymphocyte counts with failure to thrive 3. to analyze the effect of high calorie formula on TNF-alpha levels in children with failure to thrive Hypothesis: 1. there is significant increment of IGF-1 levels before and after the intervention 2. there is significant difference of total lymphocyte counts before and after the intervention 3. there is significant difference of TNF-alpha levels before and after the intervention
One way to reduce pain during epidural needle insertion is infiltration of lidocaine using a needle. However, infiltration of lidocaine using the needle alone is a painful process. Free needle infiltration of lidocaine can be an alternative to reduce epidural needle insertion pain. The study of Gozdemir et al. found that 10% lidocaine infiltration without needle was less painful than 2% lidocaine infiltration with a 27G needle with no significant difference in analgesia effect during epidural needle insertion. This study aimed to compare infiltration of lidocaine with and without needle for epidural needle insertion in a double-blind study, using a Tuohy needle, Comfort-inTM injector, and wider surgical group as novelty from previous studies. This study was a double blind randomized controlled trial. Data collection was carried out consecutively on 84 subjects with 42 subjects in each group of lidocaine infiltration without needles and lidocaine infiltration with 23G needles. The effectiveness of analgesia was assessed from three variables like pain with a Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) of 0 to 10 during lidocaine infiltration, pain with NPRS during epidural needle insertion, and patient movement during epidural needle insertion.
Increase in the prevalence and survival rates has led to the assessment of disease activity and quality of life of SLE patients as targets in treatment. Cholecalciferol supplementation was considered as having a role in reducing disease activity and improving quality of life. This research was a double blind, randomized, controlled trial was conducted on female outpatients aged 18-60 years with SLE, consecutively recruited from September to December 2021 at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. Sixty subjects who met the research criteria were randomized and equally assigned into the cholecalciferol and placebo groups. The study outcomes were measured at baseline and after 12 weeks of intervention. we measured he level of vitamin D before and after intervention, the disease activity by MEX-SLEDAI score and the quality of life by Lupus QoL
Since the first successful percutaneous closure under transoesophageal echocardiographic (TEE) guidance, many centres explored transcatheter procedures without fluoroscopy. This single centre study aims to show the feasibility and safety of percutaneous patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) closure under echocardiography-only guidance during our one-year experience. Patients with PDA were recruited for percutaneous PDA closure guided by either fluoroscopy or echocardiography-only in National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita. Patients were evaluated clinically and radiologically using TTE at 6, 24 and 48 hours after the procedure. Primary endpoint was the procedural success. Secondary endpoints were the procedural time and the rate of adverse events. Echocardiography-guided PDA closure is non-inferior to fluoroscopy-guided PDA closure, with similar procedural times. However, this method is operator-dependent and requires an experienced team for it to be performed successfully.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of treating children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) with a locally produced ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) with or without rice bran.
This trial is observer-blind, comparative, randomized, placebo-controlled phase 2 study. The population is healthy subjects aged 18 and above
The aim of this study is to evaluate the characteristic of sleep disturbance in allergic and non-allergic rhinitis in Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta. A cross sectional analytic descriptive study with consecutive sampling was performed. A total of 22 chronic rhinitis patients, consisted of 11 allergic and 11 non-allergic rhinitis were evaluated of their sleep disturbance's characteristics.
This study was to see the effectiveness of azithromycin in preventing the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysphasia in extremely preterm and very premature infants. Inclusion criteria were infants with a gestational age of 25-31 weeks 6 days who experienced respiratory distress and their families had agreed to participate in the study, then randomized. The intervention was in the form of giving azithromycin in the intervention group and no intervention was carried out in the control group and then followed up to 36 weeks PMA
