MOnitoring REsynchronization deviCes and cARdiac patiEnts

MORE-CARE
Start date: June 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to compare two different strategies of disease management in heart failure patients treated with cardiac resynchronization therapy devices 1. Remote monitoring with CareLink Network System 2. Standard management of the disease by means of scheduled routine in-patient follow-ups; and to demonstrate that the remote monitoring strategy is superior to the standard strategy, both in terms of clinical effectiveness and total healthcare system utilization.

NCT ID: NCT00883116 Terminated - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Ixabepilone as Second-line Therapy for Locally Advanced, Recurrent, or Metastatic Endometrial Cancer

IXAMPLE2
Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this study is to investigate whether administration of ixabepilone results in superior outcome as assessed by overall survival compared with that achieved with standard chemotherapy (paclitaxel or doxorubicin) in women with advanced endometrial cancer that has progressed following first-line chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT00880009 Terminated - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Study Evaluating Bosutinib-Letrozole Combination Versus Letrozole Alone In Post Menopausal Women With Breast Cancer

Start date: July 30, 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase 2 study of bosutinib administered in combination with letrozole versus letrozole alone in post-menopausal women with breast cancer. This is a 2-part study. Subjects in part 1 will receive bosutinib and letrozole daily, and will be closely monitored for 28 days. The second part will proceed with subjects receiving a dose that is determined to be safe based on the safety evaluation of the first part. Eligible subjects will be randomly assigned to receive either bosutinib daily combined with daily letrozole, or daily letrozole alone for a specified period of time. Subjects will be followed up for survival after study drug discontinuation.

NCT ID: NCT00878501 Terminated - Pain Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety, Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics of AZD1386 in Patients With Osteoarthritis (OA) of the Knee

OA19
Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary aim of this study is to investigate if AZD1386 is efficacious as an analgesic in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and at what dose. This will be done by comparing the effect of AZD1386 to placebo ("inactive substance") on pain.

NCT ID: NCT00849667 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Farletuzumab (MORAb-003) in Combination With Carboplatin and Taxane in Participants With Platinum-sensitive Ovarian Cancer in First Relapse

Start date: April 16, 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This research is being done to find out if Carboplatin and Taxane works better alone or when given with an experimental drug called MORAb-003(farletuzumab) in subjects with first platinum sensitive relapsed ovarian cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00844662 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Failure

Phase III Study to Investigate the Safety and Efficacy of Fermagate and Sevelamer Hydrochloride

Start date: July 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Magnesium iron hydroxycarbonate is a phosphate binder that absorbs phosphate from food, reducing the amount that the body can absorb. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of magnesium iron hydroxycarbonate in subjects requiring haemodialysis, compared with a marketed phosphate binder, sevelamer hydrochloride.

NCT ID: NCT00833768 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Disease

A Randomised, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Investigate the Efficacy and Safety of Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets Dosed Three Times a Day in Hyperphosphataemic Chronic Kidney Disease Patients Not on Dialysis

ASPIRE
Start date: January 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Approximately 207 hyperphosphatemic CKD patients not on dialysis will be entered into this study at approximately 50 sites within approximately 9 European countries. The purpose of this study is to determine if sevelamer carbonate tablets dosed three times a day (TID) is a safe and effective treatment for the control of serum phosphorous levels in hyperphosphatemic CKD patients not on dialysis. Total length of participation is approximately 24 weeks.
