There are about 1447 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Croatia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Right colectomy (hemicolectomy) involves the removal of the cecum, the ascending colon, the hepatic flexure, the first one-third of the transverse colon, part of the terminal ileum, and the associated regional fat and lymph nodes, and is the accepted treatment for malignant neoplasms of the right colon. A minimally invasive approach is commonly used for right colectomy, with studies reporting reduced complications, less blood loss, and hospital stay when compared to an open approach. However, there remains controversy regarding whether robotic assistance is advantageous for this technique and whether an intracorporeal (ICA) or extracorporeal anastomosis (ECA) is best. MIRCAST is a prospective, observational, international, multi-center, 4-parallel-cohorts study. Sites or surgeons will select a cohort of the study for which they are qualified. Four cohorts will be the subject of study: 1. Robotic Right Colectomy with ICA 2. Robotic Right Colectomy with ECA 3. Laparoscopic Right Colectomy with ICA 4. Laparoscopic Right Colectomy with ECA All patient assessments will be done according to the sites standard of care. Parameters routinely recorded during right colectomy surgery will be collected prospectively. Enrolled subjects will undergo assessments at the following intervals: pre-operative, operative, discharge, 30 days, 3 months, 1 year and 2 years post-surgery.
The purpose of this study is to collect long-term safety, tolerability, effectiveness and health outcomes data in eligible subjects who have participated in a Novartis ofatumumab clinical MS study. Vaccination sub-study The purpose of this research sub-study is to find out the effects of ofatumumab on the development of antibody responses to selected vaccines and keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) neo-antigen in subjects with relapsing multiple sclerosis (RMS).
Study ROR-PH-301, ADVANCE OUTCOMES, is designed to assess the efficacy and safety of ralinepag when added to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) standard of care or PAH-specific background therapy in subjects with World Health Organization (WHO) Group 1 PAH.
RATIONALE: The use of tailored axillary dissection as a tailored procedure will avoid surgical overtreatment by selectively removing the lymph nodes that are affected by the cancer, thereby sparing many women the unnecessary complications of a radical surgery, providing a better quality of life while keeping the same efficacy. PURPOSE: The phase III trial is evaluating the optimal treatment for breast cancer patients in terms of surgery and radiotherapy.
All kidney transplant recipients require immunosuppression, the net level of which is difficult to assess. Current practice in assessing immune reactivity is to monitor levels of some immunosuppressive drugs. QuantiFERON Monitor® (QFM) is an in vitro diagnostic test that detects interferon-γ (IFN-γ) release in peripheral blood. Its clinical utility in assessment of the net state of immunosuppression in kidney transplant recipients has not been well studied. The aim of our study is to evaluate the discriminating value of QFM testing results for infection and rejection in a single-centre cohort of kidney transplant recipients.
This is an extension study to evaluate safety and efficacy of ozanimod in participants with moderately to severely active Crohn's Disease.
This is a study to demonstrate the effect of oral ozanimod as maintenance therapy in participants with moderately to severely active Crohn's Disease.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the balanced fluids therapy change plasma osmolality in neurosurgical procedures due to brain tumors, meningeomas and arterio-venous malformation.
Pterygium is a noncancerous growth of the conjunctival tissue over the cornea. It is a progressive disease that may lead to visual impairment in advanced stages, as well as restriction of ocular motility, chronic inflammation and cosmetic concerns. Surgical removal is the treatment of choice, but recurrence of pterygium is a frequent problem. In this randomized controlled cauterization will be compared with fibrin glue for conjunctival autografting in primary pterygium surgery.
Introduction and objective: The key to optimal diabetes management is tight glucose control. Hemoglobin A1c is the gold standard to assess glycemic control but in cases of unrecognized hypoglycemia, confusing nighttime events or in cases of large variations in blood glucose, a haemoglobin A1c can not detect specific movement of blood glucose. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) provides informations of glucose levels in a real-time format and may be helpful for making the personalized therapy decisions desired in the era of precision medicine. Our aim is to analyse the benefit of tracking patterns of glucose values by using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in patients with T2DM in family medicine office.
