There are about 3961 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Finland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The objective of this Post Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) is to collect data on the performance of the Ingenio 2 CRT-P devices and to document that device-related events, device malfunctions or device deficiencies (DDs) do not increase safety risks in Ingenio 2 CRT-P devices (CRT-Ps), both in general and specific to the new features and hardware of the devices.
The purpose of this investigation is to assess safety and performance of ARTEBONE Bone Void Filler in the single arthrodesis procedure.
Randomized, Double-Blind, Phase III Trial of Olaparib vs. Placebo in Patients with Advanced FIGO Stage IIIB - IV High Grade Serous or Endometrioid Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, or Peritoneal Cancer treated with standard First-Line Treatment, Combining Platinum-Taxane Chemotherapy and Bevacizumab Concurrent with Chemotherapy and in Maintenance.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SAGE-547 administered as a continuous intravenous infusion to subjects in Super-Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE).
Primary Objective: To provide participants with severe hypercholesterolemia at risk for subsequent cardiovascular (CV) events and not adequately controlled with currently available lipid-modifying therapy (LMT) access to alirocumab ahead of commercial availability and to document the overall safety and tolerability of alirocumab in this participant population. Secondary Objectives: To document the effect of alirocumab on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels as well as non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C), total cholesterol (total-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and triglyceride (TG) levels after 12 weeks of treatment. To document participant's acceptability of self-injection (Self Injection Assessment Questionnaire, SIAQ).
To evaluate the pharmacokinetics of thromboprophylactic doses of LMWH enoxaparin in postoperative CABG patients, drug is administered either as a continuous intravenous infusion (CIV) or subcutaneous bolus (SCB) once per 72h. Plasma anti-Xa values are measured 12-14 times during study period and concentration maximums calculated to enable comparison of anti-Xa values between administration routes.
This study evaluates the effect of ORM-12741 on agitation/aggression symptoms in Alzheimer's disease. Two thirds of the patients will receive ORM-12741 and one third will receive placebo.
The aim of this study is to observe the effect of adapted APD (aAPD) on maintenance and/or improvement of the hydration status of more than 250 PD patients, and to observe the tolerability of the therapy over a long period.
High consumption of red meat is related to cardiovascular diseases. Red meat containing more unsaturated fat than normal red meat may have a beneficial impact on plasma lipid and fatty acid profile in humans. Furthermore, consumption of red meat and especially processed red meat is considered harmful to colon health. However, consumption of fruit and berries rich in antioxidants and flavonoids may provide protection when red meat is consumed. The study aims to answer whether the fatty acid profile of pork when modified towards more unsaturated fat will affect plasma fatty acids and lipids in adult volunteers. The effects of pork with a modified fatty acid content is compared with conventional pork with lower unsaturated fat content. Fatty acid composition of pork is modified by altering the composition of animal feed. The other arm of the study investigates the effects of consuming berries together with red meat on gut metabolism. The study focuses on how berries affect the formation of fecal compounds known to be related to high red meat consumption, such as N-nitroso compounds.
Stress ulcer prophylaxis (SUP) is standard of care in the intensive care unit (ICU), however the quantity and quality of evidence is low and potential harm has been reported. The aim of the SUP-ICU trial is to asses the overall benefits and harms of SUP with proton pump inhibitor in adult critically ill patients in the ICU.
