There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
the goal of this clinical trial is to compare in cancer patients: Is ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation useful for lower limb pain relief in cancer patients? Is direct current transcranial stimulation useful for relieving lower limb pain in cancer patients? Participants will recive treatments of ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation and DC Transcranial Stimulation Researchers will compare ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation and DC Transcranial Stimulation to see if pain in the lower extremities is reduced
Previous research has demonstrated the effectiveness of AFFRONEYE® / CROCUVIS+® dietary supplement, based on saffron extract, in the proper functioning of visual health, for example, against the development of glaucoma. The main objective of this study is to compare the results of clinical tests that evaluate signs and symptoms for the diagnosis of dry eye, between two groups (some that take the dietary supplement and others a placebo), in a sample of university workers and students who suffer from dry eye.
This is an open-label, single arm, non-randomized, multicenter phase II study for the identification of predictive biomarkers of sacituzumab govitecan benefit and the understanding of key resistance mechanisms in HR+/HER2- advanced/metastatic breast cancer patients
The goal of this clinical trial is that validation of the non-invasive biomarkers of the AGORA algorithm should make it possible to select patients with a very low immunological risk of graft failure to authorize safe minimization of their immunosuppression for adult patients at one-year post kidney transplantation. The main question of the AGORAC trial is to demonstrate the impact of TACROLIMUS minimization using AGORA algorithm compared to standard of care on the kidney function 18 months after the minimization period.
SETHY is a prospective, multicohort, phase II, single-arm, non-randomized, non-blinded, investigator-initiated study of sacituzumab govitecan in patients with advanced or metastatic radioactive-iodine refractory differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) or anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC). The main hypothesis is that treatment with sacituzumab govitecan, a anti-Trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP-2), could be an effective treatment option for patients with either differentiated and anaplastic thyroid neoplasms because TROP-2 is highly expressed at the membrane of DTC and ATC.
Patients with lung cancer have poor physical activity and increased sedentary behavior, with the presence of high levels of fatigue. A randomized controlled trial will be carried out to compare usual care versus a personalized exercise program in the community, in order to explore the changes on physical activity and sedentary behavior and its impact on cancer-related fatigue.
Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) experience a progressive deterioration in their quality of life. Task-specific training is a type of approach focused on chronic patients that allows the acquisition of new skills or improvement of lost skills. The overall objective of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness of a task-specific training program during hospitalization of patients with acute exacerbation of COPD. A randomized clinical trial will be conducted in patients hospitalized for COPD. Participants after signing informed consent will be randomized between the control group (standard treatment) and the intervention group (task-specific training program in addition to standard treatment). The task-specific training program is a multidisciplinary program divided into three blocks where specific tasks will be performed on symptom education, education of activities of daily living and improvement of physical capacity with the aim of reinforcing skills necessary for the self-management of COPD patients in the short, medium and long term.
The goal of this clinical trial is to acknowledge the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation as an adjuvant with gaming rehabilitation for upper limb function rehabilitation in paediatric population with non-progressive brain damage. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does tDCS boost upper limb function rehabilitation results adding as an adjuvant in paediatric brain damage? - What domains related with upper limb function are most influenced by tDCS stimulation? - What clinical variables are the best to predict the efficacy of the combined treatment? - If the selected intervention causes changes in cognitive domains, and, if it occurs, see their relationship with the proposed intervention and the motor outcomes. As a general objective, this trial seeks the validation of a protocol of non-invasive brain stimulation with tDCS as a complementary therapy for peadiatric population with brain injuries. Participants will be randomly allocated into two groups: experimental group will receive anodal tDCS plus upper limb rehabilitation gaming system rehabilitation and control group will receive sham tDCS plus rehabilitation gaming system for upper limb rehabilitation. Both groups will conducted a virtual reality program with upper limb exercises while been stimulated either with anodal tDCS or sham tDCS. Researchers will compare experimental and control groups to see if there is a difference in upper limb function and cognitive functions.
This protocol study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a cardiac rehabilitation intervention program in patients with cardiovascular diseases to improve both anthropometric and biochemical data, as well as other variables related to cardiovascular disorders (cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle strength, …), and emotional aspects (anxiety, depression). Additionally, this study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the cardiac rehabilitation program in improving body composition (waist circumference and body fat percentage), blood pressure and health-related quality of life. Objectives: i) To assess the functional capacity of patients with a recent cardiovascular event (acute coronary syndrome, onset heart failure, valve or bypass surgery) or with chronic decompensated cardiovascular disease (valvulopathy, pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, heart failure) chronic), ii) to determine the different cardiorespiratory parameters obtained from cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), iii) to determine the lifestyle habits and cardiovascular risk factors, iv) to develop a cardiac rehabilitation program according to and adapted to the need of each of these patients, v) to estimate the effect of the intervention, both in the muscle strength and in post-intervention CPET, biochemical and anthropometric parameters, v) to estimate the effect of the intervention in the quality of life, anxiety, depression, and adherence to the Mediterranean diet.
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate two treatment strategies in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation and heart failure, who are eligible for atrial fibrillation ablation. Patients will be randomized to either atrial fibrillation ablation or to implantation of a pacemaker with conduction system pacing followed by atrioventricular node ablation. The effect of treatment allocation on total mortality, cardiovascular hospitalization and heart failure hospitalization will be compared.
