NCT ID: NCT05776498 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Immediate Dental Implants

Evaluation of Immediate Implant Placement Using Dual Zone Approach Versus Connective Tissue Graft

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Tooth extraction is followed by ridge alteration and soft tissue collapse and recession. Different strategies were proposed to limit this collapse however, the ability of these techniques to mimic the original soft tissue level and to maintain long term stability is unclear (Slagter et al., 2014). Using customized contoured healing abutments at the time of immediate implant placement is a treatment modality to improve esthetics by maintaining the soft tissue level and contour (Ruales-Carrera et al, 2019, Perez et al, 2020). Using connective tissue grafts has been suggested to enhance and maintain soft tissue stability, however, the effect of the combined procedures for maintenance of the soft tissue morphology compared to customized healing abutments alone remains unclear (Atieh et al, 2019). In patients with non-restorable teeth in the esthetic zone, will the use of bone grafts to the dual zone with customized healing abutment vs the use of connective tissue graft with customized healing abutment in immediately placed implants shows better buccal contour avoiding horizontal collapse?

NCT ID: NCT05770011 Active, not recruiting - Edentulous Jaw Clinical Trials

Digital Versus Conventional Impression Technique in Mandibular Arch

Start date: February 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objectives: Passive fit of screw retained frameworks is essential to avoid biological and mechanical failures in addition to transmission of unfavourable stresses to the bone-implant interface. However, Several factors contribute to the passive fit of screw retained prosthesis such as relative parallelism between the implants, implant number, impression material, impression technique and method of prothesis fabrication. The current study aims to evaluate the accuracy of three different impression techniques on the fit of screw retained bar splinting two inter-foraminal implants. Methods: The study presents evaluation of the passive fit of screw retained bar fabricated with three different impression techniques.

NCT ID: NCT05767463 Active, not recruiting - Pain, Menstrual Clinical Trials

Correlation Between Pelvic Pain, Low Back Pain, and Postural Stability in Healthy Young Women During the Menstrual Cycle

Start date: November 22, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The menstrual cycle is governed by hormonal changes. Each cycle can be divided into three phases based on events in the ovary (ovarian cycle) or in the uterus (uterine cycle). H0: There will be no correlation between pelvic pain and postural stability in healthy young women during the menstrual cycle H0: There will be no correlation between low back pain and postural stability in healthy young women during the menstrual cycle H0: There will be no correlation between pelvic pain and low back pain in healthy young women during the menstrual cycle

NCT ID: NCT05748925 Active, not recruiting - Lupus Nephritis Clinical Trials

Cardio Renal Effects of SGLT2 Inhibitors Among Lupus Nephritis Patients

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to assess sodium glucose linked transoprter inhibitors(SGT2i) role in regression of ongoing kidney and cardiac diseases among lupus nephritis patient either diabetic or non-diabetic under different immunosuppressive therapy. The main objective of this study is to: To compare use of sodium glucose linked transoprter inhibitors (SGLT2i) versus standard care in regression of chronic kidney disease in patient with lupus nephritis (LN). To study the safety and efficacy of this drug group with use of immunosuppression and possible interaction. Patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) >30 ml/min/1.73m2 will be randomized into two groups Study group will receive SGLT2i inhibitor as add on drug or replace another drug according to patient clinical situation, Dapagliflozin 10 mg and 25 mg will be used once daily with or without food. Control group will be maintained on placebo. We will follow up all patients for 12 months and compare their results.
