There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Adolescence is a period of many physical, mental, emotional, and social changes. It is also associated with risk behaviour conducts. Nonetheless, not all youths under disadvantage, adversity, or exposure to risk factors experience negative mental health outcomes. The concept of RESILIENCE provides one possible explanation for the ability of some individuals to maintain positive mental health. Resilience is thus the ability of an individual or community to adapt to life challenges or adversities while maintaining mental health and well-being. The increasing prevalence of mental disorders amongst children (around 10-20% of young people) makes positive mental health promotion in schools necessary through intervention programmes. UPRIGHT (Universal Preventive Resilience Intervention Globally implemented in schools to improve and promote mental Health for Teenagers) is a research and innovation project funded by the European Union´s Horizon 2020 programme (No. 754919). UPRIGHT general aim is to promote mental well-being and prevent mental disorders in youth by enhancing resilience capacities. It has been designed as a whole school approach addressing early adolescents, their families and the school community to finally create a real mental well-being culture at schools.
Women with a history of preeclampsia (PE) have increased risk of hypertension and cardiovascular disease (CVD) later in life. Thus, PE is acknowledged as an independent risk factor for CVD, which is the number one cause of death in women in the western part of the world. Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate 1) the prevalence of CVD after PE, 2) which women have the highest risk of developing CVD, 3) when early stages of CVD can be detected in women with previous PE and 4) how CVD progress over time. Methods: 1000 women with previous PE between the age of 35-55 years will be invited to participate in a follow-up study consisting of anthropometric measurements, blood pressure measurement, urine- and blood samples, cardiac CT-scan and questionnaires. Coronary atherosclerosis will be evaluated using CT imaging. The women will be compared with women with a formerly uncomplicated pregnancy, Summary: The study will provide new important information to guide future clinical follow-up, and potentially prevent disease and early death in a large group of women with a history of PE.
In 2014 the Danish Government introduced a wide-ranging school reform that applies to all public schools in Denmark. In a physical activity promotion perspective, a distinctive feature of the school reform is that it has become mandatory to integrate an average of 45 minutes of daily physical activity in the regular school day. The overarching objective of the PHASAR study is to evaluate the implementation of this ambitious policy-driven physical activity promotion initiative and its potential effect on physical activity and overweight. The PHASAR study provides a rare opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of a nation-wide policy-driven school-based physical activity promotion initiative.
This study is a multicenter pragmatic assessor blinded randomized and prospective clinical trial in which standard intramedullary nailing is compared with external ring fixator for patients with tibial shaft fractures.
Phase 2 Platform Study in Patients with Advanced Non-Small Lung Cancer who progressed on First-Line Osimertinib Therapy. This study is modular in design, allowing evaluation of the efficacy, safety and tolerability of multiple study treatments.
The purpose of the project is to investigate specific markers in blood samples from patients with stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic). This could hopefully help in the early diagnostic to separate patients with ischemic stroke from those with hemorrhagic stroke as treatment are different and patients need to come quickly to the correct treatment site.
The primary aim of this study is to examine if Periacetabular Osteotomy (PAO) followed by 4 months of usual care followed by 8 months of progressive resistance training (PRT) is superior to 12 months of a PRT intervention in patients with hip dysplasia eligible for PAO in terms of self-reported pain on the HAGOS questionnaire. Secondary aims are to investigate changes in patient-reported symptoms, physical function in daily living, physical function in sport and recreation, hip and/or groin-related quality of life, generic health status, functional performance, muscle strength, physical activity and adverse events between PAO followed by usual care+PRT compared to PRT only. We hypothesise that in patients with hip dysplasia, PAO followed by usual care+PRT, results in significantly less pain at 12 months follow-up, compared to PRT only.
This is an international, multicenter, open-label, long-term safety study of ZX008 in subjects with Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or epileptic encephalopathy
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled and delayed-start phase II/III clinical study.
The aim of the HEM-POWR study is to understand better how Damoctocog alfa pegol (Jivi) is used to treat people with Hemophilia A in day-to-day life, how well the treatment is tolerated and how satisfied patients and physicians are with the treatment.
