There are about 36818 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in China. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Study introduction: this is a multicenter, randomized controlled study of patients with histopathologically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who have not previously received systematic treatment for HCC, all the patients are Chinese stage IIb/IIIa (BCLC stage B/C), and have not developed extrahepatic metastases. Follow-up, data collection and analysis will be performed for patients who meet the study inclusion criteria and will be treated with lenvatinib plus toripalimab and TACE (on demand) or TACE alone, so as to compare the objective response rate (ORR), overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), ratio of conversion resection, and safety between the two cohorts.
The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of partial splenic artery embolization combined with endoscopic treatment and endoscopic treatment alone on portal hypertension in cirrhosis with hyperplenism or splenomegaly in esophageal and gastric varices.
Sepsis is still the main cause of maternal death, accounting for 11% of maternal deaths. Early identification of high risk factors of sepsis and early intervention can improve the prognosis of pregnant women with sepsis. At present, there is no epidemiological investigation report on sepsis in ICU in China.
Earlier diagnosis of breast cancer in women and the use of systemic adjuvant therapy have increased the likelihood of long term, disease free survival.women who remain free of breast cancer seem to have levels of functioning and quality of life that are comparable to those of the general female population. It will be assessed the psychology status of women with breast cancer using a clinical interview,
De-identified whole blood and serum samples are collected for the purpose of evaluating the performance (sensitivity/specificity) of the HelioLiver Test for the detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
This is a large-scale, multi-center, observational study. It is planned to establish a large database of 10,000 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to investigate the prevalence, awareness and screening rates of diabetes kidney disease (DKD), and provide real-world data on the efficacy and safety of sodium glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
OBJECTIVE Both unilateral biportal endoscopy technique(UBE) and percutaneous endoscopic transforaminal discectomy(PETD) are minimally invasive and effective surgical procedures for lumbar spinal stenosis. The object of this retrospective study was to compare the clinical and radiological outcomes between UBE and PETD. METHODS In the period from July 2020 to December 2020, using UBE or PETD to treat lumbar canal stenosis.Patients were classified into two groups based on the surgery they had undergone. Preoperative and postoperative MR image was used to evaluate the removal rate of lumbar disc herniated material by two surgical methods. The two surgical methods are also compared and evaluated in terms of operation time, incision size, hospitalization time, etc.
Positron emission tomography (PET) molecular imaging provides a valuable method for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and staging of various tumors. Cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are the main components of tumor stroma, which are involved in tumor cell proliferation, invasion, metastasis and tumor angiogenesis, and play an important role in the occurrence and development of tumors. Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is the most potential specific molecular marker of CAF, which is mainly expressed in stromal fibroblasts of epithelial tumors and is a potential molecular target for tumor diagnosis and treatment. Oral cancer is the most common type of malignant head and neck cancer, seriously endangering human health. Accurate delineation of the primary tumor, detection of regional nodal metastases, distant metastases and second primary tumors are important for determining the therapeutic strategy and prognosis of oral cancer. Currently, the molecular imaging agent most commonly used in clinical practice for oral cancer is 18F-fluoro-deoxy-glucose (18F-FDG). However, 18F-FDG exhibits some shortages. Inflammatory lesions and the surrounding normal tissue such as brain, tonsils and salivary glands show high uptake of 18F-FDG, often affecting the judgment of lesions. In this prospective study, the investigators will use integrated PET/CT with the agent 68Ga-FAPI and conventional imaging agent 18F-FDG to explore the application value of FAP-targeted molecular imaging in the diagnosis and staging for oral cancer.
Immunodeficiency associated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection could predispose people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) to defective serological responses following infection or vaccination. To evaluate the health outcomes of coronovirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) and HIV co-infection, PLHA and HIV-uninfected persons in Hong Kong are invited to join a study for understanding their clinical characteristics and for tracking their levels of antibodies against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) over a one-year observation period after infection or vaccination. The results could inform the development of prevention and control strategy for PLHA in response to the emerging coronavirus threats.
Three groups of subjects will be included: 20 subjects in the healthy control group, 20 subjects in the MDD electroacupuncture (EA) intervention group, and 20 subjects in the MDD waiting-list group (participants will receive no treatment within 4 weeks). The temperature and infrared thermography (IRT) images of the facial acupoints of three groups will be recorded by an infrared thermal-imaging camera. The average facial temperature and acupoints temperature will be analyzed and compared within 3 groups. In addition, the correlation between facial infrared radiation characteristics of MDD patients and emotional changes will be explored. Besides, the relative specificity of the two meridians will be investigated.
